I'm so jealous of America they teach wrestling in school! Here in the Philippines we don't :(. My only chances of learning wrestling is through videos and self training
Yeah I so totally sucksed when I started- pinned myself when I tried to gut wrench my opponent. the clue is to stay with it, because losing all your matches when you first start sucks and makes you not want toc ontinue. But the high of winning when your better makes all the hard work and bruises so worth it!!!
jiu jitsu is much diferent from wrestling, you can thrive off of your back in jiu jitsu, you are never to be on you're back in any form of wrestling, it doesn't take long to learn though, it might take a while to transition from jiu jitsu to wrestling if you've done it for a while though.
i've never done wrestling but i want to do it because i want to make the high school team but how long will it take me to learn, i will probably be good at it because im pretty good at ju-jitsu i've done it for 4 years now but its different from wrestling rules. is it harder to learn or what?
@tjscribble No sorry but everyone sucks when they first start. Anyways this isn't the same style as high school wrestling this move is for freestyle or greco which are olympic styles. You'll get the hang of it eventually. Some people wrestle all their lives (start when they're 4)
@tjscribble wrestling is much harder than any sport, sry dont mean to say jui jitsu isnt hard but wrestling is the hardest high school sport, most skools though have walk on so they have lots of people to train with each other, you will only get mat time in meets if your good. good luck wrestling
@lapmmafighter one of the hardest definetly but bro swimming is pretty fucking dreadful. wrestling is th emost intense and compative sport, but not exactly the most painful
