i know what the problem is with the lead singer...she tries to add that fake twang into her singing voice. it doesn't work, and sounds cheesy. but maybe that's just the southern girl in me talking...
I think they're wonderful. There's a LOT of emotion here, and her range is terrific. She does belt. They're very tight. They provided me a whole new appreciation of this song.

I've had the privilege of having this group visit my school and sing for us for a full hour on their way to the regionals in Wisconsin, and this is the first song they sang, and believe me, it was excellent, especially her. They're even more amazing than these recorders to justice most of the time, I got their CD, and it was amazing. Some of the guy's voices are just...insane. Their ranges are all huge.

She doesn't belt. I think it's in the bottom of her range maybe?
And the accent is very thick and that doesn't help.

volume has nothing to do with emotion
you could sing a song extremely soft and STILL put emotion into your face and body movements
shes not showing the true feeling of the song

You can't even see her face in this video. How can you tell she's not showing any "emotion"?
Acting the song also isn't always just about "emoting".
She does a fine job.

pretty cool. At the begining you couldnt tell what the song was but once the singing started you could totally recognize it.
