I read passing for thin also. I agree with you that it helps to read others stories when you are losing weight. I would recommend: Half Assed by Jennette Fulda.
I've belonged to SPARKPEOPLE for the past 10 months and it has been a great help to me. I found reading "SHRINK YOURSELF" by ROGER GOULD, M.D. to be of a the most help. He has interviews here on YouTube. It is on stopping emotional eating. Also, "I CAN MAKE YOU THIN" by Paul McKenna and his hypnosis CD. He also is here on YouTube.
I know...I don't even like doughnuts, I'm more of a cookie girl, but the cover is very pleasing for some reason...lol. It's a good book...it puts my binges into perspective.
I think you should read as much as possible about weight loss. Its a great way to stay motivated. I love to read too (probably about 50 books just this year) and I really love to write. I pretty much record everything in my life. Its therapeutic, lol
I totally agree. I can't believe I'd never read a weight loss memoir until now. It helps to read that other people have gone through similar things. I like to write quite a bit myself. Glad it's helping you too!
Thanks! Ever since I started eating healthier I greatly increased the amount of raw vegetables I eat. I would say darn near a pound a day. I also drink about a gallon of water each day. I used to have blothchy, acne prone skin. I found that what I put in my body helps way more than what I put on my skin. :0)
Oh boy, the sodium is the toughest part for me. I'm always looking for good replacements. Lemon juice and different flavors of vinegar usually help with the vegetables.
Daily plate allows you to log and track your nutritional information. The cool thing is that they have the values for tons of food, brand names, and restaurant food. I was able to decide what to order from TGI Friday's before even going there. :0)
Yeah, there was some good info to be had...but I needed a more proactive atmosphere. The gym and videos were good for that. I'll have to look for your newest vids asap so I can get a frog fix!
Thanks! A few people have said I look better. I really do feel healthier. I needed to just chill my butt out, eat healthy, and get some good fresh air. I loved my song by the way!
Good to see you girly! I am glad that you are taking it slowly....it's the best way to get back on track! Your skin looks really pretty! I hope you have a great week and take care!
Awe thanks Karla. I'm glad to be getting the compliments on my skin. I looked kind of peeked (spelling?) in my last several videos. I think the extra calories and healthy food was just what I needed.Have a great week too!
Hey nice to see you back. you seemed in a better mental state in this video more happy within yourself. Maybe its all those books you are reading (doctors over here say reading is good for when you feel low) (not sure why) Have a great week xxxx
Hi, I agree that the reading helps....especially the weight loss memoirs. Sometimes I used to feel pretty alone in how overweight I became, but I see through the books that I'm definitely not. :0)
good to see you angie! glad to hear that you are in a better place, health wise. slow is the way to go though I know how frustrating it can be when you are used to previous patterns.
and yay for reading. it really is good for the soul (not to mention a good distraction) -- sending you lots of love and good energy!
Love and good energy received and sent right back to you Adam! Slow is very frustrating. It's almost easier to eat very, very little because I can spend less time thinking about and being exposed to food. Still, I know I have to try and be healthy. Hope your doing well. :0)
