Awww Jasmine, this was a beautiful photo shoot of Bella! She is so adorable! Glad to see things are going well. Keep updating! Happy New Year to you and the family!
@Only1JasmineNicole I breast fed my daughter up until right before Thanksgiving and from birth. I didnt use the pump at all because I was a stay at home mom up until now. She loved it but I couldnt do anything and when she slept I was tired too lol. I am going back to work alao next week Monday so I had to cut her off :(. Sometimes she stills look for my breast and cries but she is adjusting. Enjoy the breastfeeding and do it as long as you can because breastfed babies are healthier
@pinkcondition ewww Jesus I was over here clinching up as I was reading your experience with the pump. can we say OUCH!!! Sheesh that sounds paingful so did you continue to pump/breast feed?? I dont know if I could have continued. Yea I dont use the gel nipple pad I didntg even know that had those.. lol.. I am learning so much with this stuff girl. lol.. Thanks for the compliments and your fine.. lol.. I figured you prob had a little one in your hands.
@Only1JasmineNicole Girl I had to stop breast feeding. He's fully on formula. I seriousl and so happy that the lord was holding your hand when you expiernced you breastfeeding. Girl, I seriously said if your breast start crack or look red. take a coupd of days off. But you are right just because a pump cost moredoes not mean its better. Girl you are very smart. I know you will choose what works best for you. YOUR MOM and JESUS is your best friend. =)

Nipples began bleeding even some skin came off. He even began getting blood in the milk was pumping. Which made him throw upberywhete and no stop it was scary.do not use the gel nipple pads. Use the reg breast pads. You look great girl.
Be careful pumping. After I had my son. They had me pumping every 3 hours with the mede la at the hospital. Because he wouldn't latch on. My boyfriend the expensive medla. And my nipples began bleedij
(cont. from prev. comment) Now as to your question about the Evenflo duel electric pump, Most reviews I have read and from pumping moms I've asked, Evenflo pumps generally do not rate well compared to Medela pumps, with frequent breaking down and/or poor pumping ability often cited. It's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". Cheaper pumps are only good for occasional pumping, if that, and with frequent use have been known to cause nipple pain/damage just as a baby's bad latch can.
@CharleenCC Wow.. thanks for the information.. you explained it very well in a way that I can understand.. Thank you so much. I did get the Medela and have noticed a significant difference in the performance of the pump and the production of milk I'm getting now.. Thanks again your insight was very helpful! :)

One of the important things to realize when is that a breast pump is generally not as effective a extracting milk from the breast as a baby nursing directly. With this in mind, if use poorly designed pump then you will you will not extract milk properly and because fulltime working moms are replacing at least 3 feeds (typically) with pumping sessions your body this can cause your breasts to slow down your milk production since they mistakenly think your baby needs less milk then they do.
I just returned back last Friday. I have been pump 2 times a day while at work, which gives me around 13-16 ounces. I pump again as soon as I get home. I get about 5-6 bottles all together. He drinks about 4 1/2 - 5 ounces every 2-3 hours. I am just happy that I can breast feed. I never heard about a certain pump drying you up. I thought a pump is a pump and it all do the same thing. Thanks for updating. I hope all goes well. GREAT VIDEO!!
hey girl! I've been exclusively breast feeding since I left the hospital, but its time for me to go back to work, and idk. Pumping is not really working for me. I need to sit down with a consultant too. I just really want to stay home with my baby for the first year o_0 lol but money don't grow on trees...:( p.s I have the medela pump. I works really well, if you have wic, talk to them. some insurance companies cover you to rent a pump.
@naturalminnie why is it the medela pump so expensive in the US, i went to a baby show here in my hometown of London and the pump was something like £60-100 something like that i can't remember now.. I know the exchange rate is different but i think thats still quite a price difference
@naturalminnie I feel ya girl I really do.. I dont want to go back to work and the nursing has been going great..now I got to switch it up...I really really wanted to stay home for the first year also.. if I had it my way thats exactly what I'd do.. but like you said money dont grow on trees and there are bills to be paid... I would talk to a consultant too they can really help you out.. Thanks for the tips I'm going to check it out :)
I took a BF class this week and I was told the best pump to get is a Amela or a Medela because you have to get one that's strong enough to keep your supply up there is a place out here in Texas you can rent a good one for $50 a month or one through my hospital maybe you can look into that.
@oriana0525 Yea I went and got the Medela and it is working much better than the evenflo I mean MUCH better.. lol... and my boobs feel alot better afterwards.. so I did what you suggested and just went to the hospital to rent one until I can get it for christmas.
Breastfeeding videos are very helpful and im looking forward to the pumping videos because I will have to go back to school and pump at school...so keep us updated!!! :)
I loved the medela pump, used it for my last two babies, while I was working. Question: Do you feel like the evenflo is emptying your breast? Before, I bought my pump, I did a lot of research, and I do know some pumps are not good at mimicking your baby's feeding or emptying your breast, which can decrease your supply.
@GivingGlory2God So I buckled down and I just went and got the Medela pump and I must say it is alot different than the evenflo. I get alot more milk than I did with the evenflo and it does mimick very well like you said.. I am renting it for now until I can get it for christmas but I needed to start now so I could build a supply for when we return to work... thanks soo much for your tips you are always sooo helpful and I really appreciate you!
Hey on my video title What was in my hospital bag. There is a link for milk saver breast pads. You can check it out and see if it is sonething you are interested in. Also if you can it is better to pump at night or right when you wake up because that is when your supply is full. Ohhhh wait you said it lol
