The occupy movement in my city of 450,000+ people was 20-30 persons in a public park. This is a park that was "occupied" permanently by 10-20 homeless people already. I feel that more people lived there during the occupy movement, but I cannot be sure. But I'm supposed to believe that those 0-20 persons were the 99%.

I'm not going to make any claim regarding how most engineers, etc. lean politically, but I did a computer science/engineering internship at an MIT research laboratory during college and there was literally one conservative out of ~30 of us.

The occupy movement in my city of 450,000+ people was 20-30 persons in a public park. This is a park that was "occupied" permanently by 10-20 homeless people already. Unemployment & welfare are highest in blue states like Calif - Wash DC, while not a state, is one of the worst economically for the general citizenship & more than 90% voted for Obama. I'm not going to make any claim regarding how most engineers, etc. lean politically, but I did a computer science/engineering internship at an MIT research laboratory during college and there was literally one conservative out of ~30 of us.
One has to wonder how someone could do well in any quantitative field while simultaneously thinking millions of people suddenly become lazy during recessions.

While I agree 100% that you should not disrespect a congressperson the way that Fallon did, I honestly cannot fathom how anybody can support politicians like Bachmann.
This is the woman who said that vaccines cause autism. This is the woman who believes that you can "pray away the gay". This is the woman that wants to amend the constitution to ban gay marriage on the federal level.

You are absolutely, one hundred percent right. There is a liberal bias in Hollywood. For every Wilford Brimley there are fifty Al Frankens. That's a scary statistic. ;) News reporting is split more evenly, but the 'Culture War' is a very real thing. For people who don't take time to inform themselves, only one side is obvious. Conservatives do need to get their real agenda out rather than the agenda others are attributing to them. I wish you luck, Stephen even if I disagree at times

Obama's approval rating at this point in his presidency is the lowest of any president in the last century. Even lower than Jimmy Carter's. Which indicates that the bloom is off the rose for many liberals. As far as the OWS having international appeal, that's partially because Europe & the Middle East have been rioting against their governments for years longer.

@mikess56 The current OWS crowd in OKC is in the tens. Every time there is a TEA Party event or Libertarian event I am there along with several hundred. The main difference is we say our peace and leave because we all have lives and jobs to attend to.
BTW, Not all TEA partiers believe in exactly the same thing, but we come together on a few, like reduced taxation and government spending. Because whether you know it or not, gov't debt is generational theft and if SHTF possible slavery.
