I almost cried when I heard Mutya's vocals!!! I miss her sooo much.... she was the reason the Sugababes were original! Amelle is so desperate... she wants to fit in so badly. Not that I hate her, she's a good performer, but the Sugababes were meant to be a singing band, naturally sexy and talented, but Amelle brought about things like Get Sexy, which is so not their style... what happened to songs like Shape and Caught in a Moment? Truly beautiful songs?

mutya is way ahead of amelle. i'm not saying amelle is a bad singer, but all the songs on this album were written for mutyas voice. i dont think mutya would sound very good on 'about you now' or some of the more recent stuff cos that was written with amelles voice in mind. but it has to be said mutya is the better singer of the 2

Mutya's vocals are definitely dominant over Amelle's in this song, but of course -- it was made to suit Mutya's, not Amelle's. I think Amelle has proven to be a good Sugababe; they've been doings amazing since Mutya left.

Either way, I think Keisha/Heidi/Mutya was the best lineup they've ever had. This new one with Jade doesn't impress me AT ALL. They've become a brand instead of a band.

well, those songs were make 4 mutya's voice, its obvious why her voice fits better than Amelle. But I have to say that Amelle did a good work adaptin her voice to fit in the song.

Amelle is easily the best singer in Sugababes. Its all not about having the big range and 'wobbly flair' moments like Heidi, who's voice is largely generic.

good singing is about character and attitude -although being blessed with an original tone helps.

Not to over-diss Heidi though, as its not her fault she doesn't have such a unique tonal quality. But she would be better if she found her voice, rather than imitating an ideal. She is perfect as a part of a group though. Don't go solo!

Amelle's got this sort of accent that you'd usually hear in New York and it really adds hype to the song. Mutya's voice kinda sounded forced out as if she was trying to bring that powerful sound to her part but also having a hard time keeping up with the beat. Amelle was able to carry out that part more easily. Anyone who has heard the Sugababes version of the Artic Monkey's song would know that Mutya would never be able to carry that hight a note as Amelle could in the song.
