I don't understand why people have to be so prejudice. Our constitution says that all men are created equal, not separate but equal. We all have the same blood running through us.
I think alot of mrs morales problems stem from the fact that her husband just died. she is trying to deal with that fact. she also never wanted to come to colorado springs in the first place, then her husband suddenly died and shes trapped in a new place, up to her ears in debt, with no one to talk to. the people of the town allowed her the courtesy to teach the kids even though she is mexican. but she prob feels like she has to follow what people say or else she would be out of a job..
It should also be pointed out that sickle cell is the direct genetic result of malaria immunity, so a very strange "curse" if you live/come from a malaria stricken place....
Excuse me but sickie cell is not a curse it's a disease just like any other and God is a God that has no respect of person he loves us all no matter what color and doesn't love one race more than the other we are all the same in his eyes.

My own grandparents have told me that I can't talk to or hang with my best friend [a black guy] because they're against inter-racial marriages. My Aunts tell me that sickle cell is God's curse on them. My uncles break into my home and try to tell my family what to do and how high because my Mom is a single parent.

Laws can be passed but that doesn't change people's way of thinking. It's still a long road yet.

Morales should not be like that because she isnt white " that means discrimination.. i could understand that if she were "white" she were right ??? .. and some of those comments were wroten for young people !
@Hallosmiling3 Saying someone isn't white isn't racist or discriminatory, it's ignorance. Racism is a negative opinion of a culture or group of people. And Discrimination is an act against someone b/c of their race. I just wanted to correct that. But, I agree with you-race is a something made up-we are all the same b/c we have the same blood flowing through our body. People came up with the notion of race. We've been socialized to view people in this manner.
@cherri7 I tried telling that to a bunch of religious freaks that agree with Pat Robinson on most everything. Ever seen Big Bang Theory? These people are like the real life version of Sheldon's mom.

who can get it the most are italians.The people who came to my highschool
to test if we have sickle cell said that.Someone who is mixed with a drop of
black can still carry the gene.
