hmmm, i think one can de facto drive on CNG faster - it's a mental mindset. i'd drive my car faster on CNG than on gasoline - on gasoline i can hear my wallet screeeam in agony every time i press the gas pedal -
i'd be more inclined to step on the pedal with something not worth a fortune in the tank. IMO.
hey i found a great website on CNG conversion and they actually link to your video! Don't worry, they give you lots of credit. Their website, skycng is pretty straightforward and doesnt get all political like many sites. I dont think theyre funded by any environmental groups either. Just simple facts about CNG car conversion.
I converted both of my cars. The fuel is only $1.27 Over $2 per gallon less than gasoline. MPG is about the same as gasoline. There are 5 CNG stations along my route to work. Two new stations in the last year. Converted my second car for about $1000 and it still runs on gasoline for long distance trips. Federal stimulus money is paying for most of the stations. Might as well take advantage of it.
natural gas is more expensive then gasoline around here. almost 4 bucks a gallon. but then again there is only one filling station in the entire state. i would have to drive 4 hours just to fill my tank so around here its pointless. but at the same time we can get nitro methane racing fuel for 2 bucks a gallon from the local speedway so We win on some things i guess. nitro methane fuel is usually about 8 to 10 bucks a gallon in most places btw.
You can in Utah, we are actually the "CNG Capitol of the United States" Almost all the government vehicle storage facilities have CNG compressors, tons of government vehicles are CNG, and we have like 59 fueling stations on the Wasatch Front. About half of those are open public ones.

@ngvconversion Thanks for your reply. This film was made in 2008 when Gas Prices were different.

Just wondering why cant we in US brace this cheap and cleaen alternative fuel..
The whole New Delhi runs on CNG Buses and Taxies and seldom they had issues (only due to installation by non certified people turned into accidents).
I'm willing to buy / convert my cars into CNG but no dice in Boston area..

I Have a 92 Dodge Ram 350 van and its a 5.2L 318 and it runs so smooth on CNG. the oil is really clean. its very clear oil and smells clean too.

CNG conversions are expensive. What about Propane conversions?
jgarsemrod 2 years ago
Cool, Id like to see what the oil looks like when you change it.

It does not change at all. It's an alternative fuel, not a potential bomb like most of the people want to make it look like.
I had natural gas in 5 vehicules and never hada problem.
