Essentially, it makes the rich only richer and the poor even poorer. Yes, I know the tax could would lead to business owners creating more jobs and what not but that doesn't always work, take Hoover for example. It could be effective over a long period of time. I do favor Reagan more than others btw.

Secondly, tax cuts for the rich are 100 percent necessary, simply having tax cuts for the poor and increases for the rich is re-distribution of wealth, and that doesnt work, manipulating the system cannot be done. Besides the top 1% of our country pays 70% of taxes... that number is high dems strategy: spend MORE, make that number HIGHER.

@akallstar5 Actually the top 1% pays 37% of the country's taxes. Rich business owners usually spend their money on overseas investments which just goes towards manufacturing in other countries. If tax cuts for the wealthy worked, you would see real wages increasing for the working class and more jobs. While arguably you can say more jobs are created, most of those jobs are service sector jobs, and more of them are part time than full time. This leaves workers vulnerable and working for little.

Statistics prove that the New Deal has in fact successfully created jobs for MANY Americans. It was WWII that finally pulled us out of the Great Depression but that doesn't belittle the fact that FDR's government program did so much to help fellow Americans. And even when Hoover knew that laissez faire was failing he created govt. programs like the Hoover Dam.

If you do not believe me, look at the GDP chart showing the recovery of the nation between 1928 and 1940, it was going upward, dipped in 1937-38. We do not need to boost the income and bank accounts of the richest 5% of Americans, which has been the path our nation took, beginning in early 1980's. That course was also done in 1920's failed then too.
