i just finished the last book,, and eragon is fantastic.. way better then star wars.. the plot is so inveloping im almost sad to see it go. and for everyone that thinks they ripped it off of star wars.. fight me.. just fight me

I think it's an oversimplification to call the books a rip off of star wars. Yeah, there are similar points, but past the vague similarities between some of the characters' roles, they're completely different. But yeah, the game/movie sucked.

The books are great, i just finished the first one and onto the second and it is a great series. It is the movie and game that are completely terrible.

i have no idea how they actually fucked up this game i swear the book was like almost reading star wars and playing dragon age at the same time so how did they fuck it up! THATS JUST TERRIBLE ON THEIR PART

For anyone who is confused about the eragon vs star wars thing:

Eragon = Luke (living with uncle, uncle is killed by agents of the empire)

Brom = Obi Wan (he trains the protagonist and gives the Protagonist a "sword" which happens to be his fathers, also is killed in first book/movie)

Morzan = Darth Vader (the second in command of the empire, also protagonists father)

Arya = Leia (princess and a leader of the rebels, rescued by protagonist during first book/movie)

and there are more!

@javalinaReviews Dragon Riders = Jedi (both a powerful group of peacekeepers but not a central part of any government, on the verge of extinction. Brom/Obi wan are former jedi/dragon riders)

Galbatorix = Darth Sidious (both betray former government/jedi/dragon riders and establish evil empire)

Oromis = Yoda (and old jedi/dragon rider that tutors eragon/luke in the middle of the forest, protagonist leaves before training is finished to help friends.

@javalinaReviews morzan is not eragon's father, brom is. Morzan is Murtagh's father. Eragon and Murtagh share the same mother, Selena. Oh, and Morzan is dead, while Darth Vader plays an integral role and is, at least for some part, alive. Arya is a princess but is not the leader of the rebels, and just because Some of the plot points of Eragon are similar to Star wars or other stories, does not mean it is a copy, in fact most stories took things from previous stories, including Star Wars.

I swear to you harry potter and the deathly hallows is even worse. Why do game developers who have to make a book/movie adaption always screw it up? Sometimes the movies and most of the times the books deserve far better. I really want to punch EA in the face for this (that was aimed at harry potter by the way) anyway...getting off topic...

i was heartbroken when i watched the movie. and yes i saw it in theaters. those developers ripped my heart out of my chest. the books are awesome the movie and game are evil to the extreme

and I thought the movie sucked. . story is very important to me and i thought the book was awesome and wanted a game. now i don't. one reason why: in the book eragon and brom enter Yazawac and find it pillaged. they then get ambushed by urgals and eragon gets so mad at them that he shoots an arrow at them and yells "Brisingr!" and they explode. brom then gives him a lecture about using his new power wisely. in the game brom actually encouraged him to keep it up. DISGRACE! DISGRACE! DISGRACE!
