They use lighting techniques and probably some computer editing after filming to get the shiny look. It's a bummer we can't get the shine in real life.

Oils are great for deep conditioning. Try coating your hair in coconut oil or olive oil, and leave it in for 30 minutes to an hour, then shampoo it out, and follow up with a conditioner...
