Iran has started building domestic weaponry since 20 years ago, so if they want to catch up the best way is to copy and reverse engineer while they are working on developing/upgrading other stuff.

First you mentioned using Shahab II against carriers which is SRBM that showes your poor knowledege. and BTW good job realizing Shahab III is an upgrade to the second version lol. and about the RQ-170 , It's fun to see you still trying to underestimate Iranians, that's refreshing. Its not the tech its how they use them and where they launch them, Iran has different ASBM missiles to attack the carriers warships and its border's width is enough to launch them from different angle, You mean one fleet is going to intercept all of the incoming missiles like Sejil? Which like other missile it has domestic software,sensors,avionics,etc?

Iran had plenty of support and still neither side could do anything. However Nato pushed in and the destruction of the IRAQ forces was in days not decades.
