it sound like kisses dont lie, the beat does! but still my shit! I REMBER sheding tears to this song, cuz i didnt hav a GF at the time, opps TMI, lol!
Stacy was the business during her time. You want to hear real singing: Listen to Ann Nesby, Rachelle Ferrell, and Angie Stone. Fantasia do a lot of screaming, and you can't enjoy the song..This is one of my favorites.
'Love on a Two Way Street' was written by Sylvia Robinson and Burt Keyes back in 1968. Sylvia Robinson was an singer and executive for Sugarhill Records. They signed the Sugarhill Gang, the group that made "Rapper's Delight".
stacy stacy stacy, so undarated, she was baddddd wasn't she, do u all hear her damn vocals, she should have been around longer, damn i ms the real singers who they have now aint bout shit, only alicia keys and fantasia i like, r.i.p alliyah, damn beyonce, everybody sweat her like she is the baddest thing to ever do it , NOT
To tell the truth Alicia Keys is just eye candy. I don't think she's a great singer, & I'm not a fan of fantisa. Not knocking your taste. But I agree with you. Neo-soul has taken over. The only female singer in r&b that's tight is Cole. Plus I like the gap in her mouth before the music company had her correct it. Stacy was a talent.
@rickames - I totally agree with you. The pool of good female singers has become so shallow. Anyone who shows an inkling of talent is immediately anointed as the next great thing. When truth be told, a lot of them are just average- if that. That's why they release the up tempo, over-produced songs instead of ballads. I'm not being a hater, but it's true.
Thanks. I feel Jill Scott, & now that Sade is back on the scene that's good also. Eddie Levert, & Ron Isley is all we have left that can still really sing. A few others but they come to mind. Teddy was my favorite singer. R-Kelly is a hell of a song writer. Good day.
@ashR66 No. This isn't Prince's style at all. This was done by Ron "Have Mercy" Kersey. He had quite a few r&b hits with Patti Labelle (Kiss the Pain Away), Evelyn Champaign King (Kisses Don't Lie), Atlantic Starr (Send For Me) and more.
if it belongs to a major record company that may be why...Since record companies have gotten involved with youtube a lot of videos and audio songs have been taken down. =(
Do you mean have I seen this video? I have several times... but it was before I installed my video downloader, so I never got the chance to capture it before it was pulled.
i love this cut. calm, relaxing, mellow. her best effort.

It was put up several times over the past couple of years...and pulled down each time.
I liked the video because it was mixed slightly differently...
I'd love for someone to be able to slide the video up again - even if for a short while.
