  • this is the gold

  • those are like the least menacing cops ever lol

  • thnx so much...........

  • Awesome song from my youth. Haven't heard this in ages. I'm glad I got to see them play live in concert! (Lethbridge 1982) Great show!! What a voice.

  • A tribute to 55 Division no doubt (The Coppers) @ Coxwell and Dundas...Riverdale *LOL*. I had a few encounters with them, just kid stuff...but one threatened to run the ETF van over me, if I lipped off before leaving the schoolyard...so I got to the exit and leaned on one of he posts for what seemed like 5-10minutes and he (was just a punk, early 20's) stood starring while smacking his nite stick into his hand,,,my friend on the sidewalk yelling at me *LOL* We were about 15-16 yo !!!

  • @joerivm4m better than the infamous 52 division robbery squad tactics ..back in the day

  • awesome

  • My kids are 19 and 17 and wish they were there with me though the 80,s it was the best music whatever you type you listened to.

  • I'm related to the lead guitarist and dinger

  • Barry Connors and the big Ludwig set... man i remember those through the main PA

  • heart came 1st, but toronto's brian allen and sharon alton wrote heart's 'what about love'....

  • rememder buying the cassette and falling in love with her voice wow still

  • GREAT BAND

  • im with you kim

  • Okay, just posted the live version of this from some t.v. show in the '80s as a "video response" to this. Hope y'all like it! I actually like Holly's live vocal better than this because she really goes to town!

  • love these gals<3brings back so many wonderful memories:)

  • Underated band.

  • So 80's, but so awesome.

  • OK that's it! I'm gettin' myself a mullet. Who's with me?

  • I was watching these guys when they were known as SASS,used to catch them at Larrys Hideway on carlton street in toronto

  • I cant stand Heart but they made these gals look like they didnt exist....and if they were better than Heart, everyone would know them....or even close to em.....sad but thats how the biz goes i guess

  • @LizRichieBand That's what happens when you are an American band. These weren't. But when I was in high school in Ontario, they were far more popular than Heart. The problem was American bands, like all things American, are amplified the world over.

  • @LennytheLizzard its rly sad how there not anymore

  • Are there any Live Toronto videos anywhere, anyone?

  • @overdriven1

I have one of this song from some random t.v. show (can't remember what). I'll post it as soon as I can :)

  • mitica Banda Canadiense con cantante femenina

  • Just an incredible voice, great band too,Holly=sexy!!

  • good music where are you now holly great voice

  • Yes Toronto was a great band .

We had them at our High School for a concert

  • Note to mccoobs:

Good. That saves Sheron Alton for *me!* LOL!

Brian Allen's a *lucky guy* to have a foxy Mrs. like *that!*

Apart from "Daddy..", this is my ALL-TIME UBER-MEGA-ULTRA RAVE-FAVE from Holly, Scott, Brian, Sheron & Co.

    Thanx fer it, m8..

  • In Canada every white lie takes three: the Conservatives, the Liberals, and the NDP.

  • i like it !

  • If anybody from Thunder bay can remember Toronto playing at the Landmark Inn circa 1982 I was there and I have to admit these guys were awsome live

  • Big fan here. I saw Holly Woods and Toronto at the Nags Head North just after the release of 'Assault and Flattery'. I think the record company pulled their plug after a couple of shows. I would like to get my hands on "Assault and Flattery"

  • Holly Woods gave me My first REAL woody!

  • Holly Woods, Darby Mills, Lee Arron and so many more.. If I had a time machine, it'd be set to the early 80's.

  • Whether there's a debate on who came first....Annie is a much better singer by far....I will amit that Toronto didn't get it's justs desserts.....they are a great band!! but they aren't even around anymore and Heart is...so it doesn't matter

  • I enjoy both,Toronto & Heart. Its just too bad Heart could not make down there south of the 49th and it took them too pop up north of the boarder too find a band that could do the job...hence they often refered themselves as Canadian. We all know they are from America, but it's, just sometimes you guys down there never see Talent even when its in your face.

  • Dang I like this vid!<3

"Start telling the truth" in a Police station!

I did a parody: "Stop Blocking our Vids!" :)

5 Stars for the Vid and for TORONTO! :))

  • What hair!

  • Haha u guys are totally right

  • sherri alton with a Dean Flying V guitar...great times for this talented group...

  • @VcrRocker uh Flying Vs were made only by gibson not dean or anyone else if it does not say gibson it is a cheap copy

  • Damn they are good. Brian Allen is such a great guitarist/arranger. Sharon Alton ,very good guitarist vocalist. Seen at G3 shows ,hotter than ever.Holly Woods ,such a great voice. They should of been huge . Should of gone to Europe.they would of loved them.

  • Heart came out with an album in the early to mid 70's with Dream Boat Annie (and they started their band in the early 70's ) and Toronto's Annie (Holly) Woods was still in senior highn when heart was already performing to small venues, started a garage band in the late 70's.Then in 1978 they started Toronto but couldn't get a record deal untill the early 80"s

  • Is the album that good to ? :) Peace

  • ...HEART:teenage years WASHINGTON STATE band came first peope, Nancy came with 'her' first band around 72 to Vancouver as Ann was too young & in school. The joined in sister in74, they lived up here for years then back to USA.

Played in Kamloops heaps in early-mid seventies, including my sisters GRAD dance, too funny.

  • Actually still sounds pretty fresh!

  • The whole who-came-first Toronto or Heart debate is a waste of time. Both Holly Woods and Ann Wilson have great voices. It's too bad Toronto didn't experience greater success. They were a pretty good band.

  • @habman19 yes but i always pick toronto

  • @habman19 IT´S A SHAME THAT THEY DON´T GOT MORE SUCCES!!!

  • @77REVOLTFORAFRIKA77 ..........they are playing on august 26 with a very cool band called The Tripp at The Rockpile.....I really suggest you check it out....cheers...spread the word

  • I agree, Holly Woods has a great voice :)

I just uploaded a good stereo version of "Enough is Enough" for all you TORONTO fans like me :)

  • Annie "Holly" Woods has an amazing voice - perfect for rock. I love this song - takes me back to my days of starting out in the world after high school.

  • Toronto was going to be the next big girl rock band, but thy was dropped and heart was to take over, can you see that toronto are very sim to heart,

  • Bullshit!

Heart precedes Toronto by at LEAST 5 years. This song was from 1982. I have the album. I also have Dreamboat Annie, Heart's debut, which I bought in 1976. Any similarity to Heart in TO's presentation is " the sincerest form of flattery".

  • I love Toronto, especially since im a canuck but Heart is the better of the 2. Heart has more albums, awsome lead singer. Hard to beat baracuda, these dreams, dreamboat annie both versions.

  • actually Heart was formed an Vancouver, and then moved south

  • @GreenDevel Heart was always from Seattle but they did record an album in Vancouver (Dreamboat Annie)

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome.....

    Did I say AWESOME???

  • Not only that but I think you should mention that this song is AWESOME!

  • Fun band to watch and party too back when Toronto had a great rock roll enviroment with bands like Pockets(Saga),Rhinegold(Gowan),Brutus,Lennox,Moxy,

    Foot in cold Water

,Nightwinds,Toronto,Triumph,Rush and the list goes on...70`s & 80`s.. great time to Rock and Roll.

  • what a voice!!!

  • excellent band that's where i am from

  • Great tune! Takes me back. ;)

  • Just heard this song on the radio - the guitar solo is actually quite good - the tone reminds me of Slash, & in the solo the lead guitar switches from mixolydian mode to aeolian, then resolves back to mixolydian - nicely done, & something you don't hear that often in a commercial pop tune. Who's the guitarist?

  • I think we should dress like this again just to embarass our kids, they have their pants hanging off their asses so i think a little retribution is in order... anyone with me?? lol

  • haha

  • thanks I thought that it was funny :):):) xxx

  • ha ha! i for one never stopped dressing that way, it's actually coming back.

  • @kimmilil lmao :P thanks

  • @kimmilil You got that right! My son'd run and hide!!!

  • @kimmilil

What do you mean: I've never stopped dressing like that! LOL!

  • @kimmilil Not sure if I really want to pull out my old spandex stage clothes. I'm not sure who would be more embarrassed me or my daughter. LOL

  • @kimmilil .....REBELLION WITH CLASS ATLEAST,

  • @kimmilil yeh I wore some tight-fitting leather outfits in those great days -looked good as well ...probably could pull it off nowadays as well!

  • @kimmilil big hair, stone washed jeans, bring back the REAL youth!

  • I looove Toronto!

  • I remember watching this video on Toronto Rocks or Chum 30.......Loved this when I was a kid....Infact it is still great!

  • the first concert i ever saw was toronto ...ticket was 7$ long long time ago ...still love them 25 years later

  • i love you Holly!!!

  • OMG the hair the clothes I can't believe we used to go out looking like that This is wonderful!!

  • she's such a presence - would blow everyone else out of the water taday!

  • I was at a house party in B.C.

Being a T.O. Guy i want to hear some tunes....so I went out to my car and got my Toronto tunes!

Holly Woods and Toronto blew everyone away....

    JohnnyChris....

  • Great band !love Holly she is a awesome singer!

  • Haven't seen this video since the '80's. Thanks for posting!

  • annie/holly if you read this breakfast television wants you on anytime soon call kevin frankish, love to see you perform!

  • do they have a MV for "Girls Night OUt" or "Don't give me the once over"?

  • great band i remember the great riffs and the heinekens at the gasworks a great merge of annie woods and sass, and brian allen of rose, two great voices and musical minds, looking forward to seeing Toronto this summer!

  • Hi.. Is Toronto playing in Toronto this summer? I would love to see them again I met Holly she is awesome..Debbie

  • Before Toronto were they not known as Rose? or something with the word Rose in it? When they were a bar band they were touring around N.Ont and a friend of mine was in a band who either were at the same bars the week before or after them, this would be back in the mid to late 70's. I seen Toronto many times when they came thru Sudbury, even worked for them as a local roadie at Sudbury Arena...

  • You're right and wrong. The male guitarist was originally in Rose, his wife is the other guitarist in Toronto, but I don't think any of the other members were in Rose.I loved Rose, the first bar band I was old enough to see at The Gasworks.I got both of their albums burned onto cd

  • She was born in North Carolina, San Fran then moved to Toronto and today she is in Georgia

  • 1st real concert I ever attended was Toronto, Harlequin, and Chilliwack. I was amazed that a woman could play guitar like that.

  • i got to see her live when i was in high school in the 80's..she was known as HOLLY WOODS & TORONTO..amazing singer....

  • In 1982 I remember standing outside of venue in Moncton, New Brunswick listening to Toronto playing inside (I did not have tickets). They sounded great. I remember that day as if it was yesterday.

  • Takes me back to my high school grad year. Lots of good times with tunes like this in the backround. Thanks for posting.

  • Is she still Good looking?

  • Yes! Annie aka"HollyWoods" is one of the best female vocalists out there...and a very dear friend of mine..come to my website...you'll find all the info there for her new CD "Live it Up"...enjoy!...and infos to for her personal and business sites!

  • Well tell Holly that this music rocked us through high school . Toronto , Headpins, Chilliwack and many I am forgetting now. I would love to meet her and say thanks.

    Al

  • Annie, will always kick Rock n Roll ass.

  • Nancy wilson of Heart was also great.

  • What do you mean, WAS, her and Anne are still performing. No one can outdo their performances.Did you realize that they are NOT in the Hall Of Fame yet.

  • Man do I love this tune. Could you imagine if they had of been American, the whole world would be enjoying this tune. Thanx You Tube

  • I was born in 1982 and I LOVE THIS SONG! SO PASSIONATE!!! GETS THE MESSAGE RIGHT ACROSS BETTER THAN ANYTHING TODAY!

  • great video... thanks for posting... I've had the pleasure of catching Holly Woods & Toronto in concert quite a few times over the years... and Holly's voice gets stronger and stronger... hope to see more vids of theirs posted... thanks again.. keep on rockin'...

  • I wish the likes of Holly Woods, Lee Aaaron and Darby Mills would teach all these weak-arsed, nasal singing cry-babies who call themselves female vocalists a thing or two about real singing. The struggling remnants of the recording companies keep signing all these crappy whiners who want to sing about their new-age feelings. When female vocalists start rocking like they did back in the '80s, I'll start buying female sung albums again.

  • Right on the money with that. man I miss this stuff . kids listening to Canadian music today needs to hear this.

  • youtube rulz..never knew they had a video for this one..

  • Holly Woods of Toronto...the greatest female rock singer bar none!! Toronto...the greatest and most underrated Canadian Rock band of all times! 'Wolf"
