The MX5000 is a fantastic (Strange looking) but a fantastic TV, and the green is good (a little bright, but good,) is your white one a Philips or a PYE because they made many of them in different colours, I used to have one that was made of wood that was the same TV.
Pye I think it was although its so well-used that the brand name has rubbed off!!! It was just printed on the plastic shell rather than an actual badge.
and the MX5000, like all the other MX TVs in that range (an MX8000 in the lounge!!!) were strange - but better looking than your average TV!!! I'd go for an B&O MX TV nowadays over a modern LCD or Plasma TV!
My PYE has a actual badge on it. I have a B&O in my room but i dont know what it is because the rating sticker has disintigrated, But i cal tell you it was made in around 1973, It is colour, 20" and has a REAL teak case. It also has a remote control (all be it with 5 buttons on it)And it was very advanced for its day and would have been very, very expensive. and i found it abandond behind a electrical shop.
Great mock retro commercial, totally love it!!! :D I have a B&W PYE TV from 1969, I use it to watch my B&W shows as they look better on a B&W set.

I think the beocentral website should help you determine which one it is.
We got the MX8000 brand new about 7 years ago although the MX5000 was a second-hand TV stored in the B&O store where I work!

Thanks! well its not the sort of thing that people look for. i mean fake adverts for 30 year old TVs and 8-Track. Well that's my analysis any ways.

I want it. My kitchen could use a new TV. Your much cheaper than PC World any day. And the service would be better too.
Great video. 5 stars and a favourite!
