A Female DB9 is wired to the SMD OT+ where 2.2 k is connected to PIN 1 [AUDIOOUT] and PIN 3
[ PTTOUT] . The Male DB9's PIN 3 has NO ROLE role to play. IT IS NOT CONNECTED TO ANYWHERE.
I think an ICOM Handheld Transceiver [mine IC W32A ] transmits when the microphone input is grounded. When the OT+ produces the packet burst, The 2.2 k provides a collector grounding through the transistor 2N7002 for the radio to transmit.
