  • Just had my first colonoscopy on February 5, and believe it or not, I'm 23 years old (24 next month). I've having a few symptoms including abdominal pain, rectal bleeding and bowel habits. They found one polyp (4 mm), but it wasn't cancerous. Thank Lord!!

  • Having my enema and colonoscopy in 2 hours time and im 16 :O

Im realy nervous.. i think its the embarrasment that makes you worried..

    Wish me luck :P

  • Thanks for making this series. It's helpful. My colonoscopy is tomorrow. I'm making a series too. I like yours tho. Thanks!

  • i'm 28 and i'm going through this for the first time. currently trying to get through the 4L liquid death prep. thanks for making this! it feels good to know i'm not the only one who has to go through this! tho i have severe panic disorder so my psych has asked i be fully sedated...i have no complaint with that!

  • I had my colonoscopy today. I watched this series this weekend during preperation and it did make me feel a bit. The actual procedure is nuts. They sedated me without me knowing it. They said 'you'll feel a weird stingy feeling all around your body in a few seconds' Next thing I realize is me waking up in the recovery ward. I also learned I had zero polyps, which is great news. Again, thanks for the vids, I speak for a lot when I say I appreciate it. cheers!

  • All the way from Singapore cheers

  • Thanks a lot for this. I'm having my first ever colonoscopy today (I'm 29), and I'm kinda terrified. I watched your videos 3 times already, and I feel better...

    You're cool.

  • I am very curious to know why doctor number one didn't make it crystal clear as to why you were having a colonoscopy...just my nursey brain at work...if he saw 'something' he should have told you.

  • Thanks for posting these- they were great before my first ever colonoscopy. It wasn't that bad- at the center, I had a lot of fun playing with the heart monitors they had on my chest: if you tense up suddenly, they all beep at once, hehehe. Way to go!

  • I lost my bottom one year ago due to a breast in my colon. Now i´m 37 and my life is "normal", but i have threemonthly a blood test and Magnetic resonance or ultrasound scaning or t.a.c. or p.e.t.

    Actually i´m right, and you?

    good luck

  • Super helpful, thank you!

  • im 17 and i had it done 5 times now. still not pleasent though.. the worst bit is the wash out :(

  • ha wow I was kinda grumpy ... I used the word "absurd", too. But yeah I should know by now that not everyone handles anestesia well ... I mean I know when I come out from being under especially after a major surgery, I start shivering for no reason even though I'm cold. And there's always the risks for adverse effects. And then insurance. Insurance is a trouble. And then gastroenteroligists handle things differently.

  • not absurd, I just mean that I think they should just put people under. Maybe you weren't able to. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way. Yeah I'm a bit tired. I just thought if you were asleep it would make it easier for you.

  • Recovery was probably quicker without being upt totally under, and whatever it was they gave me was not in the least unpleasant.

  • so wait they didn't put you the whole way under? absurd.

  • I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow..

  • I had a colonoscopy ten days ago.I drunk phosphosoda the day before, and the next day the doctor did it but through my stoma because my ass was amputated on 19/09/06. I was sleep and didn´t feel anything.

    The colonoscopy was normal.

I´m sorry but i´m spanish and my english is poor.

  • Gracias!

  • wat happened to your bottom

  • wat happened to your bottom

  • I have been there and many of these done.

  • Hey there! I had my test done. Have it done. It could save your life, literally! I got color photos from my doc.. really kewl.. Prep I had was not the "gallon jug" stuff... there are other preps that are easier and better, so say abstracts in the refereed J of Gastroent.... (fleet phosphosoda prep ranks best if you NaP is not contraindicated).

  • You seem SO calm about it! WOW!

  • They asked me not to show any other patients as I walked to the procedure room. I asked the doc if he minded when he came into the room, and he said he had no problem with it. They surprised me by being so cool about it.

  • I thought you weren't allowed to film in a hopsital.
