I think Versus had the exclusive right to play all WEC events, and since this was a PPV event (meaning non-Versus fight), Zuffa couldn't advertize the fight under the WEC brand. That's why when you go back and listen to the commentary, they kept calling the event "Faber vs Aldo" instead of WEC 48.
