  • Lol I thought he grabbed her tit xD

  • Sooo cute

  • Doesn't it annoy you when some people see sex in everything?

  • @Elainiwen Yeah. o___o What is sexy in this?

  • Eowyn: what time is it...

    Aragorn: *stroke boobs*

    -SEXY TIME-

  • @deificGashsaucer Umm... What?? o.o

  • @icebreeze9 what?

  • I'd have jizzed on her face while she slept. Aragorn's too much of a gentleman.

  • @mrbobo978 dude you are discgusting :D

  • @adlerzwei Ah, you love it; and so would Eowyn. ;)

  • @mrbobo978 haha naughty naughty boy

  • Lol I like Eowyn so much better than that elf (forgot her name), I practically cried when he dumped her...

  • She made a move on him!

  • good lord doesn't he lead her on! men are pigs.

  • "It does not do to dwell on dreams" - Albus Dumbledore

  • awwww Viggo Mortensen... <3

  • The dream of the "Great Wave" was actually a dream of Tolkein's. If you watch the extras on the extended edition there's a nice little segment on it.

  • Duty...that was why she was in the hall...duty. Duty held Eowyn long when darkness and despair would have long taken and destroyed her. She was there to tend the hall herself, personally...keeping the darkness that assailed her heart at bay by keeping busy with the care of Theoden's Hall. Think of how she cared for so many during all her time in the movies and books. She tended to things personally out of duty...for she felt she had nothing left.

  • @PrinceAmbrosious I want to marry this comment.

  • @AronofskysKumo Wow!!! Thank you!!!

  • @PrinceAmbrosious ;) Thank you...

  • This reminds me of my little sister I always wake up to her nightmares :/

  • Nah, she made that all up, she just wanted to hold his hand lol

  • all that time, Aragorn was thinking about that nasty stew

  • @tomciow2 Agreed!

  • I think Eowyn was 100 times better than Arwen. In my opinion Aragon was a fool, because of this choice

  • @tomciow2 First of all Aragorn didn't choose Arwen over Eowyn. He was always in love with Arwen. He never thought about Eowyn in a romantic way. Arwen is much better and beautiful.

Eowyn could be happy she got such a good man(Faramir).

  • @loveatrej I agree Aragorn should stay with Arwen and Éowyn with Faramir. But never will Arwen be better that Éowyn. Actually, Arwen is barely mentioned in the books. And don't talk about beauty, that's completely irrelevant to who's better than who.

  • @tomciow2 Nah, Arwen IS indeed part of Aragorn's life. She's his inspiration, his light, his hope.

    Eowyn matches perfectly with Faramir!

  • @tomciow2 Eowyn's cooler than Arwen, yes... But Aragorn was already in love with Arwen before he met Éowyn. Besides, Eowyn wasn't really in love with Aragorn: she was in love with an idea, she loved what she could have been with him. Faramir was the perfect choice for her, she loved him, not his titles.

  • The only extended edition scene, and indeed the only LOTR scene, I didn't like was the part with Eowyn singing. JEEZ SHE NEEDS SOME TEA

  • @Nikifuj908 she didn't sound right when she sang only because her voice was raw from crying. yours would be too, if your cousin had just died and you had to sing at his funeral.

  • @twilightfan1million I would be singing in English though.

  • is this on the return of the king?

  • @will50gor twin tower

  • That`s how my girlfriend feels in the morning. Fuck I`ve gotta go do office work.

  • Does anybody know when in Tolkien's life he started having that dream? Was it towards the end of his life?

  • I like how he covers up her feet. cause, ya know, if your extremities are uncovered for more than 15 minutes, you'll have a nightmare.

    true story

  • lovely music <3

  • The dream that eowyn speaks, was a dream that tolkien did have. It brings a tear to my eye.

  • You have to admit. This is one of the most uneless extended scenes. Beautiful yes, but useless.

  • @juresaiyan If it's beautiful than it's not useless. :)

  • @AronofskysKumo yeah, you're probably right, but the thing is that ROTK has a severe length problem. I don't mind watching a good movie that's well over 3 hours, but ROTK just drags...

  • @juresaiyan Eheh, people usually seem to have a problem with that. But since I'm completely addicted I watch it all and still hunger for more. :)

  • saying "while you can" after any sentence where you tell someone to do something makes anything creepy

  • @intelliswine yeah it's sort of like a tame "or else", isn't it?

  • um maybe she just wanted to sit out there to relax and think by the fire....

  • This scene should have been with Faramir and Éowyn. I don't know how or if this scene is in the book, but if Éowyn and Faramir end up together it would just make more sense. Hoom.

  • Is it in Two Towers or Return of the King? Answer please! :-)

  • @Nyola4 in ROTK

  • Ok wtf is going on, i haven't seen this before...extended cuts? I want to see them all.

  • 0:27 : Aragorn is like : " Oh my god Hide those ugly feet ! " hahaha xD

  • i think Eowyn is kind of silly in the movies, shes always going to aragon trying to be around him smiling, blah blah blah. etc

  • what's up with the funky sub titles? What language is it anyways?

  • @xXDeathSirenXx Turkish

  • Why did they not show all of these adorable scenes in the movie?!?!!??!

  • @AkaneHasegawa

    TIME.

  • he is soo sweet but why did he have to be in his 80s?!

  • while hes in his 80s he is still biologicly like 30

  • @archery75689 are you talking about the king?

  • she's cute ^^

  • Eowyn must have some grandfathers Numenorians. This her nightmare about wave, only Numenorians (Gondorians) can be able to see this thing in a sleep.

Akallabeth - The Fall of Numenor it was.

  • look at her toes at 0:23. they look wierd

  • Thank you so much for putting up these videos! I wish they would have included them in the films. I must get the Special Edition DVD!!

  • hotness.

  • borimir death

  • Why.The.Hell. Is there a couch in the middle of the hallway?

  • Maybe THIS is her room, lol

  • tending to the fire.

  • omg lol

  • why was she sleeping in the hall?

surely as the niece of the king she would have a private room

  • Well it's the golden hall of Edoras, it is the Kings hall, so it's not exactly open to the public. Besides I think it'd be a bit creepy if she woke up to see him tending a fire in her own room

  • Haha, yeah, that would be strange!

  • she is tending the hearth fire.

  • it's her job to attend to the hearth fire. read the books.

  • @sugarmouseable Where does the niece of the king sleep? Anywhere she wants to. ^_^

  • @sugarmouseable

Well If she was sleeping in her own private room

then she wouldn`t get the chance to flirt with Aragorn.LOL

  • @sugarmouseable yeah, surely.

  • @sugarmouseable as the niece of the king, she can damn well do whatever she wants

  • @sugarmouseable

Didn't they have a celebration in this very hall the night before ? Maybe Eowyn was too drunk to make it back to her boudoir and just collapsed on the first available couch ? ;-)

  • @Junamami Maybe, but they were under siege, so she fell asleep in the great hall, kind of like passing out on the living room couch when you're trying to stay up for someone who is not home yet.

  • @bookkeeper57

Which would make more sense if there were actually warriors away fighting a battle somewhere... but here everybody's in the castle, so who is she waiting for ?

It's too bad though, because it is quite a nice scene but I find the whole setting a bit contrived

  • @sugarmouseable

To wait for Aragorn. No, just kidding. The rooms are all occupied by fighting men. She, being the shieldmaiden, can't very well sleep in the same room as them.

  • @sugarmouseable It never happened to you to fall asleep in a place in your home other than your room?

  • @sugarmouseable I asked my self the same thing.

  • @sugarmouseable it was a crazy night

  • Comment removed

  • @sugarmouseable Maybe she gave it up for Gimli or Aragorn?

  • @sugarmouseable Lent her room to the children, I suppose? But again, as you said, this is the king's hall. Surely they would have many rooms/give the children other caretakers...

  • @sugarmouseable She must of eaten her soup.

  • i do ha ha

  • We love you Miranda Otto ! Why aren't you in more movies? From David in Central California.

  • it sucks how j.r.r. tolkien made arwen and eowyn names so much alike sometimes its confusing

  • noob

  • use ur ears then :P

  • she looks like my mother when she was young..XD

  • your mommy is pretty :) hehe.

  • well i guess, she's older now though(she must not know this!)

  • "I dreamed I saw a great wave, climbing over green lands and above the hills. I stood upon the brink; it was utterly dark in the abyss before my feet. A light shone behind me but I could not turn. I could only stand there... waiting"

WOW GREAT LINES. This was an actual recurrent dream that Tolkien himself had and that in the books its given to Faramir.

  • wow thats so cool!!!!

  • @edualym sounds like 2012 xD

  • aragorn never actually tells eowyn that hes taken, but if any guy ever acted towards me the way aragorn acts towards eowyn, i WULD think that he was single n liked me, ya know lol

  • he told her he loved another woman.

  • i dont remember dat, i remember him talkin bout arwen when eowyn asks bout his necklace, but when did he say he was in love with another woman (before the third movie when he left to find the ghosts in the mountains)

  • you have to read the books.

  • i got wet

  • oh she's asking for it.. see the way she graved Aragorn's hand?..she wants him..but then again what women would'nt..Aragorn is freaken hot!

  • But not hotter then Faramir!...but then

Eowyn ends up falling in love with Faramir and he falls in love with her..but how in the hell does Eowyn keep scoring with all these good looking men?! dhhhr! I don't think she's all that!

  • Lol, totally agree with you :)

Faramir is the King of Sexy.

  • Hell Ya!!

  • 0:26; "Gasp! Cover your ankles! People will think you're a trollop!"

  • She is one hell of a hot and sexy babe. Maybe she cast let her noble manners aside for a few hours and explain to Aragorn freely that he wants him... ;)

  • The darkend abyss need not call you Eowyn... you are too fair to lose your freedom to such a wave... you brave soul though fictitiouse.... you are a wonderfull woman

  • why is her bed in the middle of a hallway?

  • who knows?

  • she is tending the hearth fire.

  • I wish I was Eowyn in that scene.

  • aragorn best just look at him when he get crowned to king look at his armor and all that :)

  • I personaly think this scene is important in the film because it starts to show the connection between Ewoyn & Aragorn and that Aragorn is falling for Ewoyn and slowly forgetting about Arwen.

  • Aragorn never fell for Eowyn; his heart always belonged to the one he promised it to in 2980 (according to Appendix B). He felt she had an immense strength that would affect the fate of the peoples of Middle-Earth which is why he cared for her; he saw they were both alike: wanderers afraid of failure and captivity. But he gave his ring and heart to Arwen. it's in the book. ;)

  • faramir is sexyer

  • hmmm dont know who i think is sexyer aragorn or faramir..

    aragorn..yeah aragorn

  • he's also 87...

  • yeah i know but he good lookin for his age sooo. yeah.

  • Comment removed

  • yea......wasn't it ....200 something? Ok I might be way off the mark.

  • Aragorn born March 1st, in the Third Age: 2931. Eowyn born same Age: 2995. So he is 64 years older than her. This scene takes place in 3019 - Aragorn aged 87 or 88, Eowyn 24. but if we are going to use their age difference as an argument why their relationship would not work, we should consider Arwen is probably two Ages older than Aragorn. ;)

BTW, today is March 1st. so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARAGORN!

PS. all info found in Appendix B, RotK. ;)

  • Ok. I was REALLY off the mark. But I remember that SOMEONE was 200 something. Probably an elf.

  • yea, i remember someone being 200 too. but i cannot recall who it was... ;) most likely an elf. or a dwarf. that is all it could be since Gandalf is probably "300 lives of men"-old, and the hobbits are in their fifties...

  • I think, Gandalf's age is more than 1000.

Aragorn lived to be past 200.

    The elves are immortal.

  • Like I said, he says in the film that he is "300 lives of men" and since men live to be around 80, 300×80=24000, so that is his minimum age in LOTR. He was a Maia which means he lived before even Elves and Men first inhabited the lands of Middle-Earth; basically, before anyone even existed except for the Valar.

But I do not have the books near me so I can actually calculate his age according to the creation of Middle-Earth and first battle against Melkor.

  • Arogorn lived until he was 200, although at the time of this scene he is in his 80s (another deleted scene tells the exact age)

  • yup. that's what i said in my previous comments. i was talking about Gandalf just now.

PS. It was not deleted, just in the extended version! ;)

  • @Dwamgela 210 to be precise.

  • @Dwamgela 87

  • he was 87....so the movie tells =)

  • have u read the books? i always wonder how old gandalf is. were all the maiar and valar alive at the beginning of time, or were more created later on? in the movie he's said to be thousands of years old

  • haha.

  • holy cow i wish to have math skills like that :)

  • Wrong, Boromir is where it's at.

  • I love this scene. :)

  • why is she sleeping in that huge hall?it's senseless

  • Why not? lol

  • In the book she's sleeping there because it's her job to tend the hearth fire.

  • The hearth fire, yes: Thanks for pointing that out. The whole place was on battle alert, and she described a dream of

    bad omen to Aragorn here.

  • aragorn's a creeper!

  • LOL!

  • EOWYN. I'm OLD. Give me my hands back, ASS. XD

  • <3 Aragorn

  • sounds like she had a dream of Numenor's downfall

  • Hmm, kinda like Faramir. Gotta luv PJ's changes.

  • I don't think I could decide who I like better: Aragorn/Arwen, or Aragorn/Eowyn. I think they're both great =D

  • I love when he covers her foot. Little things like that always make me smile.

  • Were does she dream about?

    Which war?

  • In the book its actually a line about a dream Faramir had about the fall of Numenor.

As Peter Jackson likes to change who says what in the films, I reinterpreted it for the film: Eowyn prophesying about standing on the hill (with the sun behind her) before the Rohirrim charge Mordor & they see the great Mordor army below. Watch the Rohirrim charge scene at Pelennor fields- it works both ways I think.

  • sleeping on that sofa must be extremely painful on the neck!

  • i totally agree with sawczyn86. i've read the books multiple times and they are amazing!

  • The dream she speaks of... was this the aftermath of the War of Wrath and the sinking of Beleriand and eastern Lindon? For those lands were green, and the sea did consume them, and many a fair lady and strong man fell to its waves.

  • Western Lindon, not Eastern, Western. Sorry bout that.

  • Yes, you got it all right.

Eowyn had a dream of Numenor.

  • what is that extended clip with eowyn and faramir all about, I didn't know they fancied eachother? is that in the book?

  • Yep. That's in the book.

A cool couple mostly not seen in the movie.

  • I'll second that. Tolkien himself never wanted a movie, people, so chew on that. Eowyn's still a rather good, complex and thick character in the book..she only likes Aragorn because of what he personifies: A warrior-king, glory and honour on the battlefield. And could we please have some respect to Tolkien here, some decent command of English would do nicely.

  • you know, you should all actually READ THE BOOKS!!!!! except for the three or four of you who actually care, the rest of yall are probbably just watching this clip for the hot guys and girls. Tolkien knew that too. ;)
