He's rushing so bad, can't even stay in one spot. I LOVE soloists trying to play with an orchestra, especially David Garrett, the world's fastest violin being controlled by a conductor, bah! I think not.
@Vzamzar - Did you happen to catch David at the Verbier Festival? A snippet is available on You Tube. He played under Gábor Takács-Nagy. I watched the "live" televised version several times. Absolutely stunning!
This does sound good, however, he is speeding in the solos. You can hear that after a few measures he is no longer with the rest of the orchestra. They end up playing catchup. No, this is not because of the mic as you can see that the bows do not match.
@maxthemadcat - I did not notice that, max. He, after all, is playing MANY MORE bow strokes as the orchestra and has the more difficult part, as soloist.
Saw him in concert this week. Flew out of my vacation from St. Croix and would do it every time. He was so worth it. AMAZING. I wanted to take him back too, lol
I also love how everyone in his audience dresses up to go to his concert, and he's just like "BAM!" in jeans and a t-shirt. :D
He's the Eric Whitacre of orchestral music. Very chic, popular, and damn amazing! He takes classical and contemporary music to an all new level. Extremely inspirational. :)
@Kalamachuca please! ur just jealous. this is how violinists perform, would you rather he just stand there with a blank expression on his face, doing nothing but moving his arm? i've been playing violin for a long time and btw its good technique to move around. it takes some serious skill to be able to do that anyway, playing the way he does. if it irritates u then dont spoil the video for the rest of us.
dave garret it AMAZING!!!!! im luck enough to have seen him in concert twice :D <3 <3

Some people encourage young white females to mix with non-white males.
I made a one-minute video highlighting a very tiny sample of race-mixing advertisements.
I love white people, and I am opposed to race-mixing. But I do not hate non-whites.
If you click on my name “autumntree2011” highlighted in blue below this comment, you can watch my video.

Garrett is an attractive violinist, in some ways a new Nigel Kennedy re the edge and fashion he brings to the table. A strong, solid technique, great training, a superb instrument. However, there is also sloppiness here (and elsewhere), both in rhythm and intonation, and showmanship perhaps wins out - it is no match for the great performances of this incredibly well-known piece, and does not reach the musical novelty of insight Kennedy, with his edge, brought to this piece. Still good, though.

Although I´m a big David Garrett fan and play the Violin myself, I must say that it´s a little bit hard to understand how he can be out of rhythm.
But the "Winter" is my favourit piece of the "Four seasons", and I love to her it everytime, espacially played by David.
