I thought he played well in the Championship game, especially for a kid that graduated High School 6 months before that. He's going to be a stud. He holds texas stae records for yards, attempts, and completions. His football IQ is phenominal.

Garret is the bomb. Almost beat alabama as a freshman. Very nice game for him. Will be back at the rose bowl by his junior season. Hes definitely ready for the regular season kick off. Serious potential. Better arm than the dynasty that was Colt. also bigger. Very bright future.

Garrett doesn't suck. For a freshman pushed into a national championship game, he did what he could to try and keep us in that game. Apparently some people don't know the difference between a freshman who has no experience to a qb that has been in these situations.

Like the shovel pass, it was coaching decision( I don't know why the hell they didn't run it) Plus, the only receiver able to make the catches were Jordan Shipley. And think about it, would you be able to preform top notch if you were thrown into an NC game with a resume as clean up kid after 4th quarter games that McCoy had won? Not to be rude or obnoxious, but yeah give the dude a break.

You can't play any kid with little experience and expect him to win games for you. Hell, Texas almost look like they had shot until last 5 minutes in the 4th quarter. Let me correct my last post Garret Gilbert has actully ran for 21 TD not not 8. He by far is the best of the bunch and even the best to ever come out of Texas maybe! That is if you go by stats.

Garret Gilberts stats-2008 Runs 101 491 21TD ATT. 550 comp. 367 perc.68.7 Yards 5,371 TD55 INT6 and he is still in the playoffs.

Sheppard, well is a FREAKING BEAST OF AN ATHLETE can play pretty much any position, needs a little work on his accuracy and arm strength if he wants to be QB
