Good point about it not becoming one life! I see it as three, you, your partner and the life you make together. I don't want to dominate the relationship but I also don't want the other person to dominate me, I want to hold their hand and share things, do things together but also to go and experience something new that I can bring back and tell them about and vis versa. eg if they are in a sports club I can go and cheer for them at matches, I don't have to be on the team.
