The producers of this movie should have tried harder to make the surroundings look flat. It is supposed to be Texas, afterall. It's too obviously shot in California. That's my only problem with it. It's the 3rd best movie in the entire TCM franchise, behind the first two.

I just never watch the scene, You wouldn't think killing an animal would be humane, but if it's suffering it's the better thing to do, it would be hard to do, but it would be better if you think about, kinda like if your pet was old age and in pain constantly, the vet would put it to sleep peacfully so it wouldn't suffer, obviously they couldn't do that with the armadillo as peacefully but it's the same mind frame, the poor thing would of just been in so much pain.
