Actually GibsonRocker120 and 12Gary22, bon had an interview about highway to hell before he died And he said on one of their previous tours (let there be rock) that when they were on their way from Germany to the US, they werent liking the Americans too much at the time so on their way to US, bon and Ang wrote Highway To Hell

dont see any sense on this discussions between wich signer was better. Both (Bon and Brian) are great... and even bon's version of higway to hell sounds better, brian's voice suits perfectly for other great themes like thunderstruck, who made who, for those about to rock, and others.

You know, having been in a band, I know how hard it is to play the same song night in, night out and I'm a drummer, so it's even easier than a lead guitarist who must play the same notes, the same riffs over and over again. Guys like Jimmy Page just go with the flow and wing it. Every solo is different just about every night. Not so with Angus Young. He gives you what you came to hear on their big songs. He's a real professional.

does anyone actually know the true meaning of this song? to be completely honest, the song isnt really supposed to be satanic. it really has two meanings. one can see it as satanic, or its actually speaks of a highway that starts where bon grew up to a famous 70's rock n roll pub where bon would go to get drunk the club/highway are in a valley with no stopsigns or speed limits, where many died.. it was dubbed the "highway to hell" this song is really about bon goin to get drunk. AC/DC ROCKS!!!!!

@Mersuharrastaja well the song actually describes how they were touring across america at the time but it has a more literal meaning about the canning highway in australia..which starts in Fremantle where Bon Scott was from and ends at a bar called "the raffles" which was a big rock and roll watering hole in the 70's and when the verse "no stop signs, no speed limits" its referring to a deep incline in which alot of ppl were killed going too fast over the hill
