How can you say it's 'gay'? It's not.
Is there any man out there regardless of skin color and age who is short enough and feminine-looking like Kenshin? Not too many. Some guys are too tall to cosplay Kenshin. Kenshin's pretty/handsome.

I'm fully aware he's a full grown man. I've seen male cosplayers who can pull him off manly without being too tall or rugged looking. I think you've missed the point that Kenshin has a feminine looking face and slender like since he is always getting harassed for looking like a woman. Nobuhiro Watsuki drew him like that on purpose.
