So far, I know of 157 YouTube channels that I'm subscribed to are planning to close their YouTube/Gmail accounts on March 7th, many of these channels have already transitioned off the Google Control Grid, nobody I know is at all happy with the new forced layout.
I have already UNSUBSCRIBED ALL channels that are willingly accepting the new changes and I have informed each of them WHY I UNSUBBED THEM.
So far, I have filed 19 complaints against the new changes, all to no avail, so I'm also leaving.
@HardlineFeminist I will be doing this myself soon. I plan on completely shutting my channel down 7 March if the changes happen. So I am ready to go....it was a good 3 years....*sigh*
The channels will still be changed as Youtube/Google don't care what we say just like the last time with the last time they changed the channels. I agree it's ugly but I converted so I can get used to it cause knowing them it's happening whether we want it to or not. I know them like the back of my hand.
they are doing to censor people, make certain people's "voices" less audible as it were on the interweb thingie, something you stated was very telling "when I see someone with the new design, just click off it, don't really do anything with it" EXACTLY. all the writing people have on their pages is GONE, the featured video thing, GONE. it works to stifle the spread of information. for example, go to my page how it is now, and then imagine what it would be like with the new design. differences?
Tut, i notice that YT are at it again, it appears that they have now removed all our channel profile pictures if you are still using the old layout, as the changeover is now only three weeks away it seems they are slowly beginning to dismantle our old channels, may i suggest an additional course of action to each and everyone who hates the new layout, as well as this weekends boycott, come march 7th there should be a mass deletion of all our accounts, let's hurt YT like they have hurt us!

@TheMMADiscussion They didn't pay me anything. I just like it because they allow me the choices that YT used to. Channel design, backgrounds, banners (free), FREINDS, subscribers, subscriptions, real help forums, and user-oriented people who are making it a nice site to post, watch, and connect. If you don't like it, don't use it. That's my philosophy for any website of any kind.
I just checked out ZippCast and I like the way their channel designs are set up. Their just like the way the current ones on here are set up. So if youtube does enforce this new ugly layout on my channel I will close my account as well and just switch over to ZippCast. Good video man. By the way YT has pushed the new set up back until March 7th.

I dont like the new layout that is why i reverted back to my old layout. When it finally gets shoved down our throughts...I will try to get used to it but if it starts to feel annoying I will naturally not want to come to youtube anymore, no hate, no anger I will drift away and find something else. BTW the video buffering already sucks on youtube. My internet company gives me 20mb per second/2.5MB upload speeds and youtube videos still load like i have a 56k modem..if that wasnt annoying enough

The new channel design and layout is absolutely cold, user unfriendly and uninviting. I am already considering killing my youtube account forever if the change happens or setting all my videos on private and become inactive on here in protest, because they cannot just ruin youtube all together without receiving any sort of consequence by the users as a result.

the channel is very non important lets really think hard about this ok do you think when a person goes to your channel they say oh he dosent have a pretty background so im not subscribing lol the point of youtube is videos and the new channel is based on that they make the thumbnails bigger they make it easier to get to older post instead of scrolling through every video and yeah i agree that its cool to have nice channel design but its not really important
@MrLoui318 It's about more than just the channels. You should look at the other videos posted on my channel. It is also about Google's new "privacy" policy, no more friends, and more. You really should see what this is really about. If it was simply about channel design, I would not be fighting this along with 1000's of others.

@55Dudester Well, every site has to start somewhere. The thing is, zippcast has had an enormous number of new users join in the past few weeks. They are working extremely hard to get things up and running and give us the site WE want. So patience is required. I would say that with the number of users joining, and the fact that it is user oriented is a great start.
@M424Filmcast I agree, and I'm willing to give zippcast time to handle the new surge of new members and new uploads. So sad that YOUTUBE taking the route it has decided to take. I'll have to transfer all my youtube uploads over to zippcast, which is a chore, but worth it in the end...I hope.

@55Dudester I don't know about musicians together. Between the rest, it's all in what you are looking for. Zippcast is like old youtube. Dailymotion is like an upscale version of youtube, with less interaction. Vimeo is more for short films and artistic videos.
@M424Filmcast Yeah, I think I'll concentrate on the zippcast site most. I hope their uploading capabilities will be up and running soon. I'll have to download all of my youtube videos back to my computer, then load then all up *one by one* (sigh) to zippcast. Oh well, so much for progress.

On behalf of myself, I find this change to be an insult to my intelligence, because this new layout is terrible. You had it looking good back in 2007-2008, but apparently, you have lost your touch. You would make so many of your users so happy if you were to not change. This is nowhere near close to an upgrade. If anything, its an extreme downgrade. Thank you for your time to read this message.

@M424Filmcast The great advantage of another platform is, that the other platform is not connected so heavily to Google like Youtube. Recently I am no more able to open a Youtube Channel without a google email.
When I am sharing this Channel with somebody, because making videos is only successful in teamwork, I have always trouble with the Google connection, especially when I am not ready to share my emails with my video contributor.
youtube wants this because in reality they don't want people posting on their website unless they are getting some kind of revenue out of it. Youtube is a business that has been losing money in bandwidth costs from people like me who enjoy the free bandwidth. I don't like their channel layout but they are a business go to zippcast and post there there's plenty of other sites(youtube is just where the people are)

youtube has forgotten who has made them. the whole point of user generated content is to give users some control and see the results. the new design is absolute shit, i dont know what benefit they see from it. obvioulsy they see some sort of monetary benefit in it but will soon find out that they are taking away whats at the core of this site. it was called youtube for a reason when it seems like now they need to change the name to youmakeusmoneytube or ustube or fuckyoupayme

In regards to what I think is the best, that will depend on what you are looking to do. Zippcast is much like old YT. User/creator oriented. We all complained to youtube a few years ago when they last made a major channel design overhaul. did no good. wont do any good this time either. The new channel design is the worst they have ever come up with. Thanks for trying but I dont think it will do any good.

@Kelly14UK Zippcast has been working hard on upload issues. As far as I know, uploading is working again. Just be patient, and you can easily re-up your vids there. I've noticed, that in the new design, you can only embed one video on your channel as "Featured". If you want to find someone's vid, you'll have to open their Upload tab, and select the vid to watch it at it's own webpage. You can't simply scroll through a list of Uploads/Favorites/Playlists, and watch embeded vids on channels anymore. There's also that stupid Feed tab that you are unable to remove or edit. I don't know what the deal with that is.

There is a great new video sharing site called Zippcast.com that has basically the same format as the old Youtube. It even has the old 5 star rating! The only thing is, not many people have joined yet so it's kind of empty.
If Youtube forces this change, I suggest everyone switch over to Zippcast instead!

JewTube only cares about MONEY. It does not care about freedom of speech or the interests of its channel owners who put hours and hours, YEARS of their lives into making YouTube what it is to its users. Without us they wouldn't have a website. Perhaps they should have a think about that before they start changing rules without consulting channel owners or walking over channel owners when people make false privacy or copyright claims.

I keep most of my videos private and YT BLOCKED 3 of my other channels..I am not happy about that They purposely blocked for no reason...I am with VIMEO and DailyMotion I guess that is plenty for me..I will stay here with a minimal amount of videos because i do collaboration with some Artists and they are staying...Suzanna
@Susanna129 I'm now following the same approach, downsizing and minimal presence here, while building large presences elsewhere..everyone I speak to is doing the same because of shoddy practices like you describe by JewTube.

Who wants TV Tube, I have my TV at home to see what I wish to see, not the TUBE...Already lost many friends they deleted the channels only 40 in one week. And that is plenty for me as it happens every day now...Well the Google TUBE keeps water in their mouth and they do not care… They decided to go this way let them have it but many will be gone....Including myself

So far, I know of 157 YouTube channels that I'm subscribed to are planning to close their YouTube/Gmail accounts on March 7th, many of these channels have already transitioned off the Google Control Grid, nobody I know is at all happy with the new forced layout.
I have already UNSUBSCRIBED ALL channels that are willingly accepting the new changes and I have informed each of them WHY I UNSUBBED THEM.
So far, I have filed 19 complaints against the new changes, all to no avail, so I'm also leaving.

they are doing to censor people, make certain people's "voices" less audible as it were on the interweb thingie, something you stated was very telling "when I see someone with the new design, just click off it, don't really do anything with it" EXACTLY. all the writing people have on their pages is GONE, the featured video thing, GONE. it works to stifle the spread of information. for example, go to my page how it is now, and then imagine what it would be like with the new design. differences?

Tut, i notice that YT are at it again, it appears that they have now removed all our channel profile pictures if you are still using the old layout, as the changeover is now only three weeks away it seems they are slowly beginning to dismantle our old channels, may i suggest an additional course of action to each and everyone who hates the new layout, as well as this weekends boycott, come march 7th there should be a mass deletion of all our accounts, let's hurt YT like they have hurt us!

I just checked out ZippCast and I like the way their channel designs are set up. Their just like the way the current ones on here are set up. So if youtube does enforce this new ugly layout on my channel I will close my account as well and just switch over to ZippCast. Good video man. I dont like the new layout that is why i reverted back to my old layout. When it finally gets shoved down our throughts...I will try to get used to it but if it starts to feel annoying I will naturally not want to come to youtube anymore, no hate, no anger I will drift away and find something else. BTW the video buffering already sucks on youtube. My internet company gives me 20mb per second/2.5MB upload speeds and youtube videos still load like i have a 56k modem..if that wasnt annoying enough

They are working extremely hard to get things up and running and give us the site WE want. So patience is required. I would say that with the number of users joining, and the fact that it is user oriented is a great start.

@M424Filmcast The great advantage of another platform is, that the other platform is not connected so heavily to Google like Youtube. Recently I am no more able to open a Youtube Channel without a google email.
When I am sharing this Channel with somebody, because making videos is only successful in teamwork, I have always trouble with the Google connection, especially when I am not ready to share my emails with my video contributor.

In regards to what I think is the best, that will depend on what you are looking to do. Zippcast is much like old YT. User/creator oriented. Proud to say I've been pissed and speaking out for the past 2 months.
Let's face it, YT has had her day. Fell in love 2008. But it's not 2008 anymore is it?
Boycotting is my thing every week lol. Uploader can I take the 66 vids I have and just give them to Zippcast?

@Kelly14UK Zippcast has been working hard on upload issues. As far as I know, uploading is working again. Just be patient, and you can easily re-up your vids there. Look for my channel there, same username, and you will see one of my protest vids that I re-upped just a few days ago. Let me know if you need any help with zipp! And feel free to use my FRIENDS list to contact and connect with lots of other YT refugees!

I've noticed, that in the new design, you can only embed one video on your channel as "Featured". If you want to find someone's vid, you'll have to open their Upload tab, and select the vid to watch it at it's own webpage. You can't simply scroll through a list of Uploads/Favorites/Playlists, and watch embeded vids on channels anymore. There's also that stupid Feed tab that you are unable to remove or edit. I don't know what the deal with that is.

ATTENTION:
There is a great new video sharing site called Zippcast.com that has basically the same format as the old Youtube. It even has the old 5 star rating! The only thing is, not many people have joined yet so it's kind of empty.
If Youtube forces this change, I suggest everyone switch over to Zippcast instead!
Please spread this in any way you can!

JewTube only cares about MONEY. It does not care about freedom of speech or the interests of its channel owners who put hours and hours, YEARS of their lives into making YouTube what it is to its users. Without us they wouldn't have a website. Perhaps they should have a think about that before they start changing rules without consulting channel owners or walking over channel owners when people make false privacy or copyright claims.

I keep most of my videos private and YT BLOCKED 3 of my other channels..I am not happy about that They purposely blocked for no reason...I am with VIMEO and DailyMotion I guess that is plenty for me..I will stay here with a minimal amount of videos because i do collaboration with some Artists and they are staying...Suzanna

@Susanna129 I'm now following the same approach, downsizing and minimal presence here, while building large presences elsewhere..everyone I speak to is doing the same because of shoddy practices like you describe by JewTube.

Who wants TV Tube, I have my TV at home to see what I wish to see, not the TUBE...Already lost many friends they deleted the channels only 40 in one week. And that is plenty for me as it happens every day now...Well the Google TUBE keeps water in their mouth and they do not care… They decided to go this way let them have it but many will be gone....Including myself
