Too bad on the loop and the salchow. She had the triple toe and salchow since 1987, she should have been pushed to master the loop at this point. Maybe if she were, she would've had 2 in the program which would have helped her if she at least landed one. I think the missed rotation on the second triple toe and the lack of a triple jump combination ruined her chances here.
Well, I would say this was a much improved skater versus the year before. You can see much better line and choreography versus the year before. And even the spins were better - an improved layback and camel spin. I know she didnt make her jumps, but her speed was impressive and this should have been the program she skated the year before with this nice music and then no one would have questioned her 1990 medal
As she was a pleasant skater, this kinda broke my heart. But even with a clean skate here, there was no way for her to comptete with new girls with 5 different triples, Kristi, Tonya and Nancy. So she and Jill, who also had only 3sal & 3Toe(and occasional 3F), had to retire right before the olympic game. But they were lucky, at least they got world medals before the system changed.
This was a rough skate for Holly, but I like this program so much more than the one she used in 1990. I love this music, especially the middle part. Anyone know what it is?

yeah, but she may have had a chance in 1991 with a clean skate to make top 3 without figures as Kerrigan was inconsistent.

this is the reason nancy kerrigan made it...Jill was injured and Holly bombed, then the next year they both withdrew.
