what is the best way to look up someone from japan?

if I know they live close to mauntein fuji and I know theyr name,

just googling doesnt help, are there any specific portals (like for school friends or something) where I should have more luck?

also should I know theyr name in kanji, becous I knew them befour I started learnig.
