What an amazing statement! I have always voted straight line democrat, but I have to respect and even admire Hagel, in spite of his conservative views on most issues. I sincerely hope that he will not get so disgusted with politics that he will give up. I doubt he has much of a chance runnning for president. But I do hope that he will run again and keep his Senate seat, his voice is needed among the so many shoe salesmen among his "esteemed colleagues".
