I noticed the start was a bit different in that you didn't use the waterthingy to slide on the grass just before the hovering to the white block (0:48-0:53). Would it be faster to switch just before that point and just slide? (I'm guessing here, didn't play the game). If it is faster, maybe you should re-do segment 3 (if possible) but that one was awesome nonetheless. You used a ton of the hover though, can it be cut by a bit?

How did you get that water thingy back, the other mario guy stole it from you when you entered the cave... mario games never make sense :p

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like you went heavy on the hover this segment, like there should be a better way to do the void.
