  • hey man, just a question, how do oyu tune these carbys, I've got the 66cc kit, but htere all the same, therse only an idle control needle and thats about it, my one runs like crap, If i rev, then twist back the throttle it takes a while for the revs to drop down again, im guessing its not the throttle linkage. Cnat wait to break my one in, what with all the dickheads blaring their horn and driving past me on the road

  • @artakisthebest Hey it's been a while since I've messed around on my motor bike. After breaking in, it's kind of like set it and forget it. But you say all you see there is a idle control screw right? Well I suggest you lower it until the rev's become stable (or when you notice the revs drop down normal and don't lag). Try lowering the needle until you hear a stable and not so fast idle, but not low enough that it dies, just enough to keep it going and have the revs drop normal. Good luck.

  • nice bike dude, how exactly did you get the front engine mount onto such a large downtube?

i have this problem with my bike project, at the moment im still hand painting it but id just like to know for future referance when i actually get to that point :)

  • At least it's not running lean...

  • Nice bike if you ask me. I like the thumbs up any anout the half way point.

  • @BiknutProductions hehe, thanks Biknut. That's my cousin, and this was during break in. Just put rejetted to .65 yesterday. All I have to say is wow. Will be making another video today (taking advantage of the sunny weather @ the park!). Thanks for watching!

  • 0:40 seconds - Oh shit! The cops are after ya!

  • @DuctTapedGoat lol... ambulance going by... but you know, luckily I live in a country where the cops are more interested in looking at it and asking me questions. Thieves are the ones I worry about!

  • @tseekr379 That's always cool when cops actually show human curiosity and interest in motorized bikes instead of trying to find something to violate you for.

  • @tseekr379 cops wont and cant do nothing about this. As long its not over 50cc ang cant go over 25 mph, buy who even cares.

  • Yes, they say 16:1 for first time use, and they are wrong. I am personally starting with 24:1. I think 20:1 is too much too, now that I think about it. Can't wait to go through this second gallon and use 30 or 32:1 and see what difference it makes. Thanks for watching.

  • cool motor bike I have one homemade version of a 50cc ysr engine on a bike on my other channel honeybunchickens except i like how quite yours sounds. mine is too freeken loud i make a bad impression on my neighbors

  • @sevenswanstudio If just your bike makes a bad impression, then your horn is overkill!

  • 24:1 is a normal operating mixture. You need to run 16:1 for the break-in period, which is the first 300 miles. For more power in the end.

  • @jhwbyler 16:1 is way too much oil my friend. Do your research - your information is antiquated, as is most manual instructions. Some people say even 24:1 is too much, but for a break-in, I think 20:1 is the lowest I'd go. Also, instructions tell you to pretty much baby the motor, and if you do that, you'll never properly break it in. Thanks for watching.

  • @tseekr379 actually, it's 16/1 first time use.. then 20-25/1 after use..

    i've seen people use 50/1...

    dunno why.. lol
