I've forgotten how to do all these knots and tie-offs. Probably b/c the chief won't let me go on fire-related calls. I have to have firefighter training to work for the fire dept., but I guess I don't have to use it unless Chief J. says I do. : )
not a bad knot. Ive never used that in agner, any knot ive ever used to haul any kind of gear is normally a Clove hitch with a half hitch two thirds the way up. Ive only ever used a figure eight or a bowline on hauling a ladder, but that all depends on how much time and line i have to spare.

I wonder if they had the halligan bar in 2001, when my husband died in a fire.
If they have all these neat tools, IDK why he couldn't have been one to get out of the building.
Then again, I've wondered that ever since it happened-even before I knew about firefighting tools.
