  • what pickup is in there?

  • it that a 3/4 size? Id love to have one great gnarly guitar tone

  • What style of music is this, like blues or what?

  • im bringin a 62 back to life right now....its a d model like that one,but is all mahogany color...nice sounds man,

  • Why did you change the tuning peg?Shame on you!! You should put back those old Kluson strip tuners

  • Tunning keys where changed, certainly because originals were not doing the job correctly anymore.

Vintage style has been installed some time after the video, no worries ;)

  • Sounds thin

  • im getting the same model, same year i think , but with two pups in it. how is it pickup wise? anything i should know?

  • Hi, hows the pickups? Im thinking of buying one...How well does it sound when it comes to some harder rock?

  • sound great, i have one.

  • if you turn the volume up all the way with the tone up all the way and you turn on some gain, then you get a really horrible buzz sound, true?

  • yes, but ive learned to get over that, plus you can buy a pedal or something for that, cant you?

  • okej, yeah I can:/ but still, hate buzz :P rock on pal

  • nice double cute guitar!

  • would this be good to play some zep?

  • Love it, are the tuners original?

  • why is it so small? is it 3/4 size?

  • which is betr, melody maker or esp kh 202?

  • melodymaker = blues

    ESP/LTD = metallica .

  • neither, depends on your style. Sorta like the guy below me says. Except that either one can be used for anything its just that the pickups and design in a melody maker or geared more towards more classic music style like blues or earlier rock n roll and a kirk hammett is obviously tailored towards metal because of the high output active pickups. What do you play is the question

  • my advice is not to buy a signature guitar or youl b accused of ripping off and being a wannabe

  • AH! Shoulda kept the original tuners! They probably busted, I understand. You can't merely let a MM collect dust! You gotta play that fucker! Nice original PU, ps. I grew up playing my grandfathers, but I ended up swapping out the PU for a humbucker. Big mistake!

    Nice geetar, dude!

  • great sound!!

  • Dude you have a boner.

  • wtf???

  • May do you forget to notice this MM is from 1962, or may do you talk about the 60's Kalamazoo's melody makers (what were great guitars too) ? If not, I'm afraid the idiot is not the one you think.

  • The Melody maker is 400$ and the LEs PAul is around 3000$ , that is why he got Melody maker you IDIOT!!

  • THAT vintage melody maker is about 1200 actually, at least nowadays with the vinage market going up. The make the cheap ones for about 400 now but they are more off the 1959 version of it..single cutaway, one pickup

  • @waterbutz no longer a member I wonder why lol!!

  • @waterbutz Opinions are like.....well, you know the rest. You make a lame attempt to slam someone here? When you attain a little knowledge, keep it to yourself. Nobody respects your 2 cents.....

  • get the studio les paul . the name said it all

  • i was thinking about getting a les paul studio but do you think it would be better to get a 1966 melody maker i could get it for the same price?

  • no not really i bought a studio and now im going to buy a melody maker to modifi

  • No, Les Paul Studios are the smae thing as An epiphone in the $550 plus range,

  • my friend just got a 1950's Melody Maker for 900$ dollars...it's amazing

  • retard

  • You're an idiot.

  • i agree!

    Instruments are made for playing

    not for being saved anywhere

not even stradivarius are kept without playing

in fact, an older gibson is more expensive than a new one

(try andlook out for the price of a 1960's guitar)

Note: instruments are made for playing not for being destroyed (as seen on many concerts)

  • When you talk about destroying instruments i just wanna let clear that jimi hendrix didnt destroy his guitar he made a sacrifice, well at least thats what he said

  • nice model!

  • i have one of these...but its in way worse condition..i got it from my grandpa; he bought in 1960's for like 100 bucks lol

  • Shit condition old guitars should be the most valuable, it shows a real story and I'm sure there wont be any other piece of wood matched with pick-ups that will sound the same, cherish that Guitar...I'm sure you do though.

    Same for the video guitar.

  • sounds like a strat

  • bought one of these in 1978 for $210.

  • Lubydub, LOL

  • Dude, why the zoomed in shot of your junk? Focus on the guitar. Nice playing though

  • Interested in selling your maker?

  • nice !!

  • i like the dc

  • sweet!!

bet it was superr hard to find the double cutway model

  • a bit more costly to i bet
