The guillotine is an instrument of execution, not torture. In fact, in its day, it was considered a humane execution method -- far quicker and more accurate than the headsman's axe.
if smoking is so terrible, why don't they ban it? because the gov't makes lots and lots of money from taxing smokers. it will always be legal.

Um, the guillotine is one of the most humane ways to kill someone these days. It's perfect and leaves no room for error or suffering.
