The railway is a 1/2 mile circular route which runs on nearly all weekends when the main SDR is open, and also over gala days. The locomotive shown is actually a Petrol loco, with a 5hp Honda unit powering it.
Yep, that's right. The steam loco on passenger duties was a Romulus, which belongs to one of the volunteers there, although it is not based on the line. The other steam loco in use, the Hunslet "Rhiana", was on light freight duties. See some other videos for more on both locos. And it's also nearly definite that I served you with your tickets there :-)
Thanks. I don't know how long this has been going, but I only just managed to get a ride on it; it was around five o clock. This video shows the last train of the day before putting all the toys back in the box for another day.
i will have to look it up on the net to see if there is anything about the railway on it, if i ever win the lottery i want a mini full working class 47 and a massive garden to run around.
I think it runs on Sundays when the SDR is operating. And I share with your idea of winning t' lottery and getting a miniature railway put in my garden (if only mine were big enough!).
Oh My God! Thats my brother driving the train! Didnt know he did that! What you doing Bro? Hope your well! From Big Sis! x
