  • The Group After 7, now they improvise and interpret jazz music, and they are amazing.

  • let's Praise!

  • Trash! Lame POP singer.

  • blinglover ur talkin through ur arse..its called pushin the note during his solos. very rarely goes off key has a voice like a saxophone to be honest

  • He sounds great! And he sounds like he's having fun. He's such a wonderful singer.

  • i saw him yesterday in copenhagen, denmark - awesome control of the voice - and he has a good sense of humour too.

  • Great when he is not singing off key.

Tendency to sing sharp. But for the wonderful moments I'll deal with it.

  • wtf are you talking about? i've seen kurt live numerous times, the man is NEVER off key. you need to check your ear and see him for yourself...

  • I totally agree...Saw him in Houston...Intonation and Control is superb. It's an honor to see him...Viva Elling

  • he's not off key. there are many keys. he's a brilliant musician. accurate, insightful, innovative, penetrating, etc.

  • Sorry sweetie, he's off key, dragging his notes, listen to some of the greats sing April in Paris. But then are some who can't here the tunes correct. He's know Al Jarreau!

  • who are you know to point out supposedly the only unique key to sing something?

you didnt got the whole point of improvisation...?

    lol

  • 1st you know nothing about me, and let's talk about Improvisation, in jazz music a topic I've studied in school for some years. Improvisation is the art of improvising, musically speaking, talking, reacting, creating, this is something only black people did as they started this form of singing in the first place, and of course as in everything, Caucasians copied, some do not do it so well, and others are amazing, Perry Como, Micheal Franks, but Al Jarreau, for 1; has them all beat, cont,

  • @cammicty It doesn't matter where or for how long you have studied improvisation - your opinion is still only your opinion. It doesn't happen to coincide with mine, but that's life!

  • and why would al jarreau be a sort of a reference for the supposedly ''correct way of doing/singing'' it?

its just about new and subjective stuff... there are no official patterns at all!

you're just used to a way of doing it, there are infinite....

  • cont, this guy is okay, but flat and somewhat off key. I could go on and on listing jazz great who have the ability to interpret a jazz song ( or Improvise) and it's amazing, leaves you breathless. He falls short!

  • Hi all, as I see you do not mind much about quality, for my cam is a sucker in terms of image, I will see if I've got some more by Kurt, ok? Its a promise, but u are warned since now, lol!

  • This is awesome! Do you have anymore? If you do, we all would love to see more of it.

  • yep Kurt is the best jazz singer around right now, he takes alot of flack for being a shmaltzy cartoon robot sometimes, but the reality is he is just heads above everyone else for technique and imagination and he's taken it way past where Mark Murphy left it.

  • "Schmaltzy cartoon robot" ? What does this mean?

  • OMG !!! WOOOW... GREAT SCAT !!!

  • kurt's the one! great audio quality! :)

  • kurt never fails to impress. holy shit he is good.

  • more kurt more kurt~

  • I totally agree, the best modern Jazz singer nowadays ! Give us more. Thanks Borog.

  • Finally !!!! Kurt Elling in youtube. The BEST jazz singer in the whole world. We want more !!
