  • Hey ,Mug. Thanks for the flick.

  • Also - in response to BGoldtone -I agree with you, such a versatile actor! (And let's not forget Double Indemnity). Edward G. played the best of good guys and the best of bad guys - never played middle of the road characters. Love to watch him. By the way - you all have got to see Larceny,Inc. - if you haven't seen it already - hilarious!

  • Is this "prophetic" or what? I am watching "Little Caesar" while eating "Little Caesar's" pizza!!!!!

"Holy Hot Peppers Bat Man!".... Great movie by the way!

  • @BGoldtone great movie forrunner of all gangster movies. edward g very versatile, could play many types. the stranger, the sea wolf, larceny inc.,hole in the head.soyliant green was last movie. dick g.

  • Classic gangster film. The dialogue is hilarious but so iconic in its 1930isms

  • tjt tool ik lq ppl pplul try em io

  • That pose rico did on 51:29 was gay lmao

  • Terrific stuff, fast and entertaining. Many thanks, from a London viewer.

  • Enjoy a nice steamin hot cup of coffee a even nicer rolled spliff and chill out to old mob movies on superbowl sunday... day well spent.

  • With all the praise for Eddie G., let's not forget Glenda Farrell's especially good performance as Olga. Her greatest role was as the fast-talking reporter "Torchy Blaine" in a series of very popular action-adventure B movies in the 1930's. Jerry Siegel, co-creator of "Superman", said that he modeled the character of Lois Lane on Torchy Blaine. WOW, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!!

  • the irony you kill the guy then say too bad TONY wont be their lol

    thats heartless no pacemaker

  • 22:06 thats a slap lol they didnt need the sound effects

  • lol i like this movie already she asks him about the .380 in his suit jacket at 07:45 and he says its a good luck charm he carries with him

  • i donohow u managed 1h vid but thanks u saved my ass!!! 4 cinema i cld not find this movie anywhere online and lol i go on youtube and ur ass has loaded it here!

    thanks man!

  • I think Paul Muni makes a better tony.

  • It's weird, I've seen a ton of Fairbanks, Sr. movies and Jr. reminds me of him just a little in appearance. It's weird, like being on the edge of seeing some of his father in him, physically, but not quite. Very strange. The closest thing we got to Sr's personality, of course, later on was Burt Lancaster. But even Lancaster wasn't quite in Sr's league. Jr's good in this movie, though, although his father would've been totally different, of course.

  • Chief Wigham from "The Simpsons." Robinson's superb in this, the performance rings down through eight decades and counting.

  • Great Movie.

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Sure beats today's crap actors and crummy movies!

  • Nyeah you guys check out Edward G. Robinson on "What's My Line?".

  • thank you

  • This movie is a classic, one of the best gangster movies of all time.

  • Nyeah I just watched this movie several hours ago and I already love it nyeah see.

  • thank you!

  • "Is this the end of Rico?" It is an honor seeing both Edward G. Robinson and James Cagney in the same film.

  • @JoseAriel1408 I dont think Cagney was in this film

  • @JoseAriel1408 James Cagney isnt in the film.

  • So many similarities to Scarface. Amazing.

  • @funnycookbook Lucille LaVerne (Ma Magdalena) was famously known for her voice as the Queen / Apple Hag in disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Ma's physical appearance was also caricaturized for the Hag's appearance.

  • Interesting note:The 1973 blaxploitation movie Black Caesar was the remake of this movie.

  • yuh GETME????

  • Glad Rico didn't kill Joe

  • @ArtificialRed1083 i didnt know i was speakin to a english teacher lol

  • Rico lookz lyk Al capone

  • Good movie!

  • O.G. Original Gangster...

  • Edward G. Robinson might be good here but check out Lady in the Window.

  • @sugarpiemeowmix dnt you mean Women in the window?

  • Comment removed

  • THE GODFATHER of its era....with dialogue of "tell them they can go to---"...and Robinson as trigger happy as Joe Pesci in GOODFELLAS or Al Pacino in SCARFACE remake.

...this movie was radical stuff, coming a few years after silent movies....even the cornball dancer is based on the real Legs Diamond...

this and PUBLIC ENEMY plaed a lot on 1970s nyc tv stations....the origonal SCARFACE seems to have disappeared till '80s cable tv.

  • @monk22yrs James Cagney is a better actor and his movies are alot better than this.

  • @Palsharpton james cagney was terrible as lon chaney in MAN OF A THOUSAND FACES....and bw photography also helped cagney a lot---he had bright red hair.

robinson worked past cagney's retirement, right up to SOYLANT GREEN---robinson and heston were the best things about that 70s movie.

  • @monk22yrs I see what youre saying but " White Heat" is better than any of Robinsons movies

  • @Palsharpton yeah, WHITE HEAT is a good one, complete with a scene at an old drive in.
