  • Very rare indeed! I have seen models of these but watching the film gives a better impression of teh potential power of the machine.

  • @manorbiercastle5005 I have also seen models of the J, there's a Chivers kit in OO which is very good, my father has built one in the same livery as the one in this film. The kit for some reason neither includes nor mentions the whistle which was on the cab roof as per the H class 0-4-4T, and we've seen a few at exhibitions where none is fitted. Invariably the owners are pleased to have this brought to their attention, and it's easy to fix.

  • Thank you for posting this. Maidstone is my home town and I still live there/here. It was and is interesting to see Maidstone East, as it looked like during the steam era.
