Chris is a fucking amazing singer. I listen to this everyday because his vocals motivate me and inspire me. He is fucking unreal.
Great video that brings back great memories of one of the decades of music. Thank you Seattle for that you brought us during that time. They just don't make music like they used to anymore.
Are you fucking kidding me......Yeah the sound quality is kinda shitty but Chris is hitting every note perfectly. This is fucking insanely good........
I second that. Amazing song. On the recorded version when Chris's voice goes unexpectedly high near the end, it sends a shiver down my spine every time
what the hell the guy 2 comments under me is talking about?! studio artist? have u got screws for ears?
first- he is awesome here, its just a shity quality of sound, second- check out one or two other videos of his performances before u post a comment like that because u just come off ignorant..
Go check out a live performance of "Beyond the Wheel" that has 'unbelievable' in the youtube title. It'll blow your mind. Best live singing I've ever heard.
Very good, not many people notice that. OR even know what "Footsteps" is. However, this song, "Times Of Trouble" came before "Footsteps". The music itself was written by Stone Gossard (I think) but I believe "Times Of Trouble" was a full-fledged song before "Footsteps". Both, completely awesome tunes.
for sure there both awesome, im gonna have to say times of trouble is superior, something about the chorus is just epic and climactic, if only i could sing that lol
Actually, Footsteps was written first. Just. But I can't dispute that Times of Trouble was made into a 'full-fledged song' first. You're right, they're both awesome.
Wrong, Footsteps was written first by Eddie, but when Cornell listened to it on a tape that Eddie gave Stone, they changed the lyrics and put it on Temple of the Dog's CD. But, i have to say, both versions are amazing, and Eddie as a song writer... he blows my head off!. The whole mamasan trilogy is amazing.
You're almost right. Stone wrote the music for the song. Chris put his lyrics to Stone's music and the song became Times of Trouble, Ed put his lyrics to Stone's music and the song became Footsteps.
Greatest band that ever played 1 CD................. Too fucking bad, so sad..........Soundgarden and Audioslave are just fronts for Chris and his vocals.
I listen to this song everyday when i m in the bathroom n i just feel like im lifted up like im in a heavenly realm...o god this song is ttooooo beautiful...Chris got the voice of a fallen angel
Chris Cornell was good friends and a room mate of Andrew young. Andy was a major figure in the Seattle music community in the late 80's and this project "temple of the dog was about him"! MOTHER LOVE BONE RULES"
Stone Gossard wrote the song/riff. Chris has his lyrics and Eddie Vedder has his own. In the Pearl Jam "Massaman Triology", Footsteps is the final song.
Chris is a fucking amazing singer. I listen to this everyday because his vocals motivate me and inspire me. He is fucking unreal.

What a shitty disappointing live version of a good song. Everything ive seen of Cornell says he is a studio musician.
He sucks live. Screws up words and just plain doesn't sing good,
