I have already started my own boycott. I refuse point blank to aid this company in advertising such false information which leads to the deaths of a lot of children. I can't have that on my conscience knowing that the 50p I just spent on a Lion Bar goes towards their advertising campaigns to produce such false claims. I love lion bar and a whole lot of other Nestle products but just feel that I can't by the products anymore. Shame on you Nestle, the more people who know about it the better.
@nick4alex No, not bullshit, based on Nestlé's own arguments and marketing. After receiving thousands of emails they have since admitted that adding ingredients highlighted in their logos to formula, such as DHA and ARA, has 'no proven benefit', but they still refuse to remove the logos. The campaign isn't calling on them to stop selling formula, but to market it in accordance with internationally agreed marketing standards - which clearly prohibit such logos and claims.
@mikebradyuk its pointless to boycott nestle over this single point though... SOOO many companies do it. why pick at nestle over it? ... oh wait sorry, did i miss the band wagon?
@mikebradyuk having read all of that, can you guide to me a specific section that singles nestle out as being the worste at clearly labling their products? specifically on the point of labeling, why not boycott multivitamines? loads of stuff in those pills has been shown to have no significant effect on most healthy human. anything that says it contains extra omega 3, antioxidants, vitamine c etc. is commiting this crime, but at least nestle only do it on one product.
@nimajneb2005 : Why boycott Nestle? They are the BIGGEST formula manufacturers in the world. They own many of the other companies. And they push their products in very poor countries, and advertise as though formula makes babies smarter, and healthier. And ppl believe it, b/c they are ignorant.
@blackstarr5 I would argue that the ignorance is the problem there! In LDC's (e.g. sub-Saharan Africa) nestle don’t sell to the individuals, they sell to healthcare professionals who then provide the nestle products to individuals (i.e. the mothers). I would put it to you that it is those healthcare professionals that are required to change, not nestle, or the multitude of other companies that provide similar products. Not only is this fairer and more effective, it’s probably also easier!
Don't forget to send a message to Nestlé after watching this clip, by going to the Baby Milk Action website. Address given in the film or with the info below the film.

@nick4alex You perfect example of what happens when all you have is Nestle Milk. You can construct a logical argument.
