  • OMG This Mad Me Cry This is My FAV Songgg Yeeaaaaaaaa!

  • Look at this band. Its HUGE and soungs GREAT!!! Jackson State cant touch

  • Grambling's rendition is better.

  • @thisisntme.........uhhhhh no O_o

  • feelin that bass!!!

  • i heard all the band in the swac play and famu is by far the best sounding band i have ever heard. famu make an impression on me back in the last seventy when famu played a song name Push. Now over 25 years later nothing has change.

  • imma have to give this song to NSU love the 100 tho...

  • Its funny how all these second rate and below bands have so much to comment about FAMU, but when they see us in person they have nothing to say. Also, CMURDAH84 you are clearly mistaken about NCA&T diggin in our ass in 04 or any year for that matter.

  • Go Famu!!

  • Original song is by THE JONES GIRLS. thank you.

    Good job.

  • the real marching 100 st. augustine purple knights

yall have no background to the music

  • Ok NSU does sound ok I give that to them but the difference is in the quality if you haven't noticed here at FAMU we play using the pyramid concept, build from the basses up unlike NSU the sound of these two bands are different FAMU has a dark rich sound unlike Nsu's thin sound concept and tone not loud and with edge the tapes don't lie look for yourself.

  • What the hell all these people hollerin' bout FAMU man they arrangement is ass. The have no dynamics, no passion, no emotion in this song. Famu thinks that crankin' every song is gonna make them sweet, of course they crank. They like 10'000'000 members deep, they betta crank! NSU is the band that owns this song. It gives me chills up my spine when I hear them play it. Their dynamics are off the chart.

  • U sound gay as Fuck dawg.....we laughing at u!!!!!!

  • I love the ending..........

  • maybe this year idk. But that year naa.

  • famu is just like SWD their just like a big band never the quality you would expect from sooo many people

  • you tripping listen to this year of the same song you will not say that again

  • You meant to say, SWD is just like FAMU, right? Setting the standard for ALL bands to follow. Take a seat, class is in session.

  • Famu is what I would have in class to show quantity doesn't matter. Its the quality of the sound that make a great band!

  • I absoloutely love this song. No one can play it better, arrangement or sound. Period.

  • NSU plays it better

  • Imagine the Legion with 400 members. The crowd would need earplugs. So would FAMU......I don't care what anyone says. Half of that band is probably not even playing.

  • your such and idiot........stop being musically ignorant......its clear at fam we dont try to blow the bells off the horn for a reaseon.....that half the band not playing I will promise you 300 members of our band will out play anyone in any other HBCU band and the other 100 would still have the skill to be leaders in all other HBCU bands. That comment just pissed me off!! Youre so damn ignorant......when are our bands gonna learn to enjoy quality.

  • You size does not match the sound. Just get over it. If you really believe the bullshit you are spewing, then go right ahead.

  • the size does match the sound dumbass.........its 400 people playing...........not 400 trying to play as loud as possible like these other garbage hbcu's.........we don't have the sound of a southern with 400 people bc we dont play like them.......or nsu with 400 people cuz we don't play like them........as the 100 gets bigger the sound gets FULLER.......not louder.......when you stop being musically ignorant you will figure that out and have fun in you second rate ass band.....if ur even in 1

  • Thank-you u dawg I couldn't have explained it any clearer........THA 100's only competition is tha 100 from past years not other bands...it's no competition. What other schools don't understand is we don't even consider yall competition NSU,BCC orBCU SU whoever tha FUCK run up and get done up!!!!!!

  • IF IM NOT MISTAKING DIDN'T NC A&T DIG IN DAT ASS in 04'...AT THE BOTB IN CHARLOTTE, N.C.....AGGIE PRIDE!!!!!!

  • NEVER!!!!!and tha word i think u meant was "mistaken.....lol....Not only do we have the best band in tha world. We also graduate tha most blacks with BA's maybe you should take an english class here or something. Fuck that band shit u got bigger issues u need to deal wit first playboy......LMAO!!!!!

  • We didnt go to Charlotte, NC in 2004!

  • I marched for the LEGION how. Secnd rate my ass. 03 and 05 tells the story...

    end

  • yes, 05 when yall were the last ranked major HBCU academically.................that really tells the story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • They sound soooo good...it gives me chills...(i was there)

  • i was there i hope they come back this year to the atl for the battle

  • Uhhhhhhhhhhh what are the bass drummers talking about at :38 LMAO. I guess that's the advantage to being 420 strong. You don't get caught..........

  • lol.

  • I listened to both.

I didn't know what to expect from NSU, after listening to FAMU, but NSU BLEW THEIR ASSES OFF!

I got chills listening to their version, especially 2:23 and beyond!

FAMU is the biggest band of all HBCU's, that I know of, so it's expected that they sound nice, hell they have like 20 tubas!

But I definitely did like NSU's version better, just slightly. The domes usually always kill FAMU's sound (as well as bad videos) and I didn't hear much from their bass drums, because of it

  • Make that about 40 something tubi

  • you don't hear much of their bass drums, or their percussion for that matter, because of their concept of sound...feeling the percussion instead of hearing it

  • i need help i cant choose whoese who can i run to is betters nsu or famu's i kno im on famu page but b truthnful dey both sweet as a bitch on dis song doe idk whose betta

  • I listened to both.

  • 04 them whales where blowin

  • man i love this band

  • My cousin Theo used to be FAMU asst band director. FAMU and Grambling are my fav bands tho.

  • Very nice!

  • wow, that's impressive.

  • listen @ 1:36 for from the woodwinds to the tubas..hubba 100!

  • YESS HUBBA WHALES.

  • omg dat by exscapes how nice

  • oh please 1wst off this is a terrible recording anyone smart can tell that and no 1 plys this song better especially no wack high school

  • lol high school!!!!

  • I LOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEE this song.

    Who Can I run to?

  • my school band needs to hear this its bangin!

  • That was pretty tight!

  • Man FAMU brass section is always amazing.

  • sounds really good

  • verry nice great addition!

  • what is the song name ?

  • Who Can I Run Too

  • i play trombone at southfield lathrup and i could hear they part clear as hell we just got this song last week i cant wait to use it in a show this da shyt

  • NSU plays this the best of what i've heard thus far.

  • beautiful

  • It sounds rediculous in person! I'm more of a Cookman fan. They just sound better, but FAM hold their own on this one. They actually let their woodwins participate a little bit on this one. Big ups Dr. White!

  • LMAO @ "they actually let their woodwins participate a little bit on this one"....

you must not really know anything about the FAMU band...we always utilize our woodwinds and they are always heard...unlike our friends down there at that beach in Daytona

  • Hmmmm, well let's see....FAMU has been all about brass since they got their first tuba. I ain't even gon' lie....them whales be humpin....but top 3(if u knew anything about bands, you'd know what I'm talkin bout) ain't gon' cut it. Now big Don on tha' beach understands the quality of music and knows that in order for there to be a "band"...you must keep the concept of using all instruments in reach.

  • wow...lol...do really believe what youre typing....lol...i have been following bands for the past 12 years and gave 5 years of service being a member of the Marching "100".....anyone who has any knowledge of HBCU bands will know that we have the best woodwind section; they play a major part in the sound that we have and they are always heard...IMO, i cant say the same for them

  • @kskkl2003 Man I know both bands and BCU can not compare to FAMU but I love the flare and energy that BCU plays with. I have followed BCC and FAMU since 89 and FAMU always had that musicianship edge over other HBCU bands. Them white whales are of the CHAIN!!!!

  • Wow I can't believe what you typed. No offense but you must not have an ear for music and must simply be pretending. When you're arguing which band is better, it's more an argument of to each his own. But anybody knows that FAMU utilizes their woodwinds more than any other HBCU band. Honestly when you listen to FAMU band, they have a more balanced sound (you can hear all the voices) versus a brass heavy Cookman. And I'm from Daytona so I rep them right after FAM but the truth is the truth.

  • big

  • That sounded good. I bet it sounded even better in person.

  • Beatiuful arrangement coming form FAMU as usaual

  • that is a big band!!!!

they some beasts on that turf

  • High-schoolers please take note....especially sousaphones :)

  • That was beautiful. The Jones Girls would be PROUD!

That horn section is definately EWF worthy! :)

  • Hubba Whales!

  • Man, listening to this song brings back memories from my time on the "highest of the 7 hills" in Tallahasse. Great stuff!

  • who can I run to...it was fire!!!!

  • HAHAHA thats funny like a bitch cauz its true

  • Those chords along w/the horn choir on the ''who can I run too'' chorus are so warm and rich. I can't listen with the headphones on because I get chills and bumps from this. I wish y'all would send about a 30 piece band to play this arrangement at my wedding this fall! Hubba 100!

  • i luv FAMU, but NSU does play this song betta

  • Look at my school!!!

  • Good job 04, but I prefer the the '95 year of the "100" playing this.

  • thats the mu fuckin cut

  • lol

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Smooth as a knife thru butter. Nice fam

  • NSU does have a nice arrangement but they dont PLAY better than the 100 sorry
