Actually this lack of democracy only benefits the Western governments that have and continue to meddle in DRC's development. Additionally the South African Gov't will reap huge rewards for their role in the corruption. Why had it not occurred to external observers to investigate the materials that were being employed for voter ID and vote casting at the outset? That only seems logical esp. in this case.
Where's the vigilant West, when international clamor is due? It would seem their mandataries are all out of breath from lugging coltan accross the border.
