I'm from Portugal and i think every owner, of any breed of dogs, should be obliged to do a course on how to train and understand the dog. The dog psicology is crucial to havoid any accident. A litle dog can hurt or even kill a baby if the owner do not understand how to be a leader. I've owned many dogs like cocker spaniel, argentine dogo, american staff, true american pitbull, rottweiler and miniature pinscher. The most agressive to humans was the cocker spaniel.
hello people.. may i ask why some pitbulls are slim and some are bulky?? does it have something to do wheter it is pure or not.. mine isn't as bulky as others that i see here on youtube
I take on board everything you say, however it doesn't change the fact that when they're not trained properly, they're much more dangerous than most other dogs and seem to be involved in a disproportionate number of serious maulings.
I'm not saying other dogs aren't dangerous, but I wouldn't let a child go anywhere near one of these dogs.
@FCScorpio79 That's not really true if one looks at the breeding, CDC has even stated there is no way to tell what breeds attack more. 1. not all are reported, 2. Misidentification (I could give you a link full of similar stories, also working at a animal shelter a lot of non Pit bull dogs are labeled as such.) At one point Golden Retrievers were hitting the tops of reported dog attacks, Labs the highest in some counties. That doesn't make them "bad" breeds.
@FCScorpio79 Also take into consideration the sheer number of these dogs, over 1 million are estimated to be euthanized in shelters every year, compare that to the number of attacks.
@FCScorpio79 im sorry you feel that way as my wife will tell you there is no better breed around children. yes pitts can be mean however those are usually inbread by back yard breeders looking to make a quick buck. But a well bred pitt is a lover of children remember the little rascals? pete was a pitt. and we have done rescues over the years and the only breed that didnt snap at our children was the pitt. we even rescued a golden who bit my son for no reason at all
@454chevynova ever met one? Did you know it was America's dog in WWI &WWII? So your hating on an American dog. You hating America itself. Typical Chevy fan, and typical American, ignorant.
@FCScorpio79 I agree with you. I have been around and owned a number of them from top breeders. There are reasons for their bad rap just look at the stats. I have seen dozens of attacks from so called "Good Loyal Family Dogs" turn without notice or reason. They have all been from noble lines etc. The fact is... it's in their nature. They should never be around children or the elderly alone. Too many owners are in denial until its too late. I like the breed they are smart & powerful!
absolutely agree, this is the best video ever which explained APBT, i hope people understand n learn about APBT before they discriminate them..... I LOVE PITBULLS
Any dog that's tied outside with little to no interaction with people is gonna be mean. If I was left outside in the heat and cold only got fed when my owner remembered to and wasn't shown any love at all. I'd be mean too. Pit bulls are the most abused dog breeds. And a lot of it is because of stupid fucking people like u!
For some reason I actually enjoy watching vids of those "monsters" and wondering how anyone can call those pits or want dogs that look like that... I like this video. Thanks.
Bananayogurt1000? What the hell is wrong with you?! Shooting someone's beloved pet, what if he wasn't going to attack wow I hope one day, you get sued by that dogs owner
Ok that's fucking stupid pit bulls are not mean dogs. Any dog would be mean if it were beat every day or left outside in the cold with no shelter or food or water and little to no human interaction. I'd be mean to. I've never met a mean pit bull. Here's a fun fact lads have the highest bite rate in the US not pit bulls. They're the most abused dog if anything. So go play a game of hide and go fuck yourself!! Bananayohurt1000 your a dick!!
@cassievipp72484 the point isnt how mean they are the point is they can kill you, nobody cares if a pug is mean because it can't rip your fucking face off
@Bananayoghurt1000 A 30-65 Ib dog can kill you? You dont deserve to walk this earth if thats the case. We need to weed out all the weak specimens of humans, starting with you. When we have all these other breed in upwards of 150 Ibs you want to pick on pitbull the most abused and misunderstood breed in existance. People are the root of all evil. A child is 100 times more likely to be killed by its parents then by any breed, what does this tell you.
@surleyguru well they can't kill me , i have a gun and use it on pitbulls that are not muzzled and and restrained and approach me or my family, however fighting pitbulls are not 30 lbs, maybe as pups , and yes they can kill adults, they were bred to kill fucking BULLS, hence the name so don't ge all internet hardass and say youd spank a fighting dog and send him scurrying away because he would fuck u up and rape your corpse.
@Bananayoghurt1000 30-65 Ibs I said retard and yes they can be as small as 30 Ibs learn the fact before you open that man pleaser of yours. Dont think your hard with that gun either, it just makes you look insecure and weak. Try being a little more alpha instead of an subordinate its the only way to live. Walkin this earth scared shitless of a small to medium sized dog known for their love for people. Stop listening to the media that shit rots your mind ya know.
@cassievipp72484 yea pit bulls are not mean, thats why they fight to the death, because they are full of love and sugar and sweetness, thats why they are the worlds number one human killing dog, because all the love they have overwhelms them and they butcher their owners and random children, pit bulls need to be exterminated and they will be
@Bananayoghurt1000 Actually people need to be exterminated and they will be. The end of the world is coming and a breed of dog isnt to blame. They are terriers and terriers as a whole are naturally combative with other animals. But on the flip side have complete love and respect for people. They will do what ever their owner teaches them theres no bad dogs only evil people. A child is 100 times more likely to be killed by its own parents then by any dog. People are dangerous.
APBT is the number one killer dog, only niggers and wiggers who want to look tuff keep these dogs, i live near a park where ppl let these killer dogs run free, i have shot one dead and seriously injured another (i have a concealed carry license) because they approached my kids and i will put a bullet in any other than comes within 50 yards of my children while not restrained by a strong leash and muzzled
@Bananayoghurt1000 Uhhh? I'm sorry to say you are wrong, actually i have had my pitbull for about 2 years now and he has not killed anything so get your facts straight before you say anything, and No I am not a "nigger or wigger" I'm a girl who loves these dogs so don't assume that just they have these dogs. And the reason why people leave them free is probably because they either don't have time to care for them or they just hear people like you who assume things, and don't know the truth.
@Bananayoghurt1000 Actually the apbt is the number 1 family dog get your facts straight. You sound like a spineless human being having to carry a gun with you at all times. Take a more alpha role and you wont need no stinkin weapon.
@dlt215 Ooo we have a tough guy here, either a nigger or a wigger who thinks he's tough because his dog is tough, well ill tell you this, when your dog has a bullet in its skull you will run like the limp wristed pussy you are
@Bananayoghurt1000 u r just a scared loser with a gun go learn something abouth dogbehavior and psychology before u shoot an innocent dog because ''U THINK'' it will hurt ur kids.
@Bananayoghurt1000 are u gonna shoot a mma fighter that comes within 50 yards of your children because there's a posibility he might break your kids neck
@Bananayoghurt1000 number of children killed by humans is higher than the number killed by pitbulls. if you shoot a pitbull without knowing for shure it's intention was hurting you or your children than you shot an innocent dog and that makes you the agressive killer and if a pitbull kills a child than thats probibly theyre owners fault
@Bananayoghurt1000 On average 9 people are killed by dogs in general every year. Now compare that to the amount of people killed by their own kind every year. It helps to have your facts straightened out. You denying what people do on the regular is disgusting no one is dumb enough to believe bullshit like you just displayed except maybe you.
@Bananayoghurt1000 Fuck you and your bitch as family. We dont need more killers like you running these streets. I wish death on you and your whole miserable scum of a family. You need to carry a gun with you where ever you go huh, that shows what a spineless litte twurp you are. Try being alpha instead of a submissive little bitch and you wont have a thing to worry about for the rest of your miserable existance.

They are not natural guard dogs but a little bit of training a pitbull will do anything for you if he thinks you want him too but i dont recommend a pitbull if you want a guard dog. get a shepherd or rottwieller they do it without any training.
Pitbulls are breed to be confident and dominate... so its not so much as dog agression more so trying to lead the pack. I've owned 4 pits and only one ever guarded anything. The rest were just 60-70 lb lap dogs with a lot of energy.
@Rediy777 Dominant is not a personality trait, you might want to do some research into dominance from people who actually have done 30 year studies. Dr.Sophia Yin has a fantastic article about it on her site. De-Bunking the "Alpha Dog" Theory By Pat Miller is another good one. I'm not expecting you to actually do so since most people are quite closed minded when it comes to this. But if anyone is willing to learn the information is there.Anyone with an open mind has my respect. :)
@magicalcrazyness thanks for the info. When speaking about dominance I also mean their will. After positioning yourself as pack leader you don't have any problems or at least thats my experience. All pittys have strong wills, just watch them as pups. I've never seen a pup submit to any of the others in a litter. They all wanted to be the alpha. I also believe knowledge is power so I will check out that article. I just hope its not someones opinion whose never owned a pitty before.
@magicalcrazyness I read through your article and some of it makes sense, but like I said I've watched pups exhibit dominance sooo... In a pack fight dogs never kill each other and the first on its side shows submission. There are some dogs that are untrained but for them to say that "alpha" dog isn't a correct term reeks of ignorance. You can get the correct actions from your dog by rewarding good behavior, but any pitbull breed had to be dominant for the jobs they where created for.
@magicalcrazyness Which is farm hand work; bull baiting, chasing off wolves, pulling sleds, etc. For those jobs they had to be fearless and non agressive towards humans.
@Rediy777 Not sure which this is a direct comment on but if it's referring to their breeding. The origin of the APBT is well documented. And contrary to popular belief where the dogs' ancestors use does not make there's. A breed becomes a breed when a standard is written and dogs are being produced consistent to that standard without adding outside influence. The first registry for the APBT required the dogs to be at least 3x winners in order to register.
@Rediy777 I'm open to a calm level headed debate though, it's good to not have one spout out profanity. I'd prefer to take it to personal messaging though due to the limited amount of characters allowed.
@magicalcrazyness I also don't understand why everyone trashes Cesar Milan. The man never broke a dogs leg or anything he has his way training (which works) and others have theirs. Half the dogs that Cesar rehabilates are thought to be beyond help and no other trainer would touch them so stop hating.
@Rediy777 Please actually do some research. Abuse doesn't have to be actually physically hurting the dog, it's primarily mental in the world of dog training. Anyone who has thoroughly researched dog behavior can tell why. I'm not trying to sound rude. I used to love Cesar, but I actually started to learn the truth behind dog behavior. I just wish people would be more open minded to things. By the way there are plenty of trainers who would take in those dogs, whom share my views.
@magicalcrazyness Dogs feed off the energy given. I've seen a friend with 4 kids get a jack russel mix. The kids were over exicited and well being kids. The dog wanted nothing to do with them, but instead found the calmest energy in the room. Which was me. A lot of people say they have the "truth" about anything. I'm not saying that I don't believe in positive reinforcement. Just saying that Cesar's way works. If people started treating dogs as such we wouldn't be having this convo now.
@magicalcrazyness Too many people act like hoarders and place animal life over human life. I used to be one of them. When I started treating my pet as such we had a better relationship as owner and pet.
i totally love pitbulls but i am absolutely afraid of them. actually, i am afraid of any dog. i think the only dog that has never scared me is the labrador hehehehehehe. i wish i did not have the phobia. i am losing out big time man
i fucking hate people who know nothing about the breed, ignorant politicans who use media reports for evidence and then create laws banning them. sense when has man lost control over canine behavior. dogs do what man tells them too or they react to abuse. everything is based on people not dogs. dogs have protected and us for hundreds of years but now the media is fear mongering and stupid lazy uneducated hermits are believing it. crooked ass politicans are using that to further their agenga.FTW
My APBT is a very loving dog He luvs his people will knock u down and lick u to death He is extremely agile jumps 6feet straight in the air (after squirral) level with privacy fence but stays in "his" yard cuz "Mom" says so luv my boy
@Sydneyshay13 That Kind of Behavior being allowed in any breed is dangerous, and indicative of poor leadership skills. Your dog is likely HIGHLY stressed and Believes himself to be the "pack Leader" and if you've ever watched It's me or the dog you'd know that this is not good behavior. Especially in a large breed who is more capable of harm. if he does this any time a stranger comes near you For example: walking down the street with him, then he is a news report waiting to happen
Any dog can an will attack any human at any time! Have you ever seen a Chihuahua, in a steel cage in an animal hospital? I'd rather take my chances with an angry Pit, Cane Corso, or Fila, any day! I've owned APBT, AmStaff, Akita, German Shep (who was SchH3) but the most over protective breed was my Dad's Weimaraner. He bit everyone who visited, Cable Guy, Pool Guy, Computer Guy... As soon as us 3 kids moved in, NO ONE was allowed near the house. Excellent mannered, great dog, just too protective
Love the message I own a blue 1 year old and he is the nicest thing in the world. He is more on the bigger side of the pitbulls. But that was my preference. Keep the message going. I educate 1 person at least every time I walk him. I have many people who also cross the street when they see me coming even though my boy doesn't even lift his snout to notice them. But I love my boy and he is extremely wonderful with my 1 year old toddler.
pitbulls may not be aggressive towards humans, but we dont want a dog to attack another dog either! a pitbull broke the leash outside the mall and attacked my friends golden retriever and her dog had not even made eyecontact with the pitbull, it just came from behind. the owner said that this had never happened before and he couldnt believe it because it had always been so "good". My point is that a unprovoked attack like that, is latent in their natural behavior (excuse my poor english)

@thejacobhughes A relative of mine has a Neapolitan Mastiff, a breed created for guarding, she will greet a stranger who comes in or jumps in their yard. She is not a good guard dog other than her looks. That does not mean her breed is supposed to be like that, as far as temperament she's not a ideal example of the breed. Same goes for the APBT, a guarding APBT is not an ideal example.
@magicalcrazyness well ive been doing pitbull reasearch for 2 years ive read books and my family has had 7 pitbulls in the list coulpe years and every single one of them is extremely proctective of the home but at the same time a good loyal dog that would never SNAP unless it had to to save it's family from a intruder so this video is a lie it's not true pls dont believe it
@thejacobhughes Most easy to obtain books are crap to be blunt. The only American Pit Bull Terrier books that you'll find to be accurate are authored by dogmen. Colby's Book of The American Pit Bull Terrier is a good start. By the way, "snap" is not a proper behavioral term. Amstaffs are often confused with APBTs, you can't tell the difference for sure without papers and guarding tendencies are not unusual in their breed. Easily confused.
@magicalcrazyness I train dogs for personal protection I had started with German Shepherds, I tried making ADBA reg'd pitbulls work they completely lacked what I was looking for, One time I discovered American Bulldogs at a pitbull show they used these dogs to guard the pits to prevent them from theft. I worked with these dogs in protection because the pits were horrible guards, eventually moved on to the Presa Canario but thats a whole different story altogether.
@JustToletUknow I haven't really delved into personal protection work myself but they few I know who do found the same result. There's a video somewhere on Youtube of a news report showing how one should not rely on just their dog to protect their homes, as they have a local trainer go into homes with just the dog (with the homeowners permission) and video the dogs reaction... The Pit Bull greeted him happily, they even did a mock attack on the owner and he tried to initiate play
@magicalcrazyness You're actually right about that. Staffies are more prone to guarding behavior as well. There are different types of pitty lines: Staffies, APBT, American Staffies, I could go on for days. Some lines have been bred with more protective breeds.
@magicalcrazyness I'm just happy my pit loves all people! isn't food agressive...she does however have to be supervised around other animals because she plays to rough. But she more clown then dog lol I dont know who or were I'd be without her! I have 17 years dog walking experience I suggest experienced dog handlers for this breed. Too many people get pits to look bad and hard which is stupid because it only futher stereotypes the breed.
@surleyguru Of course but the point i am trying to make is that some are being bred as guard dogs and for human agression...I dont think this is the breed for that, even though this breed would do anything for its owner which I totally see. I still hear of backyard breeders creating mentally unstable breeds which breaks my heart It would kill me if the banned these dogs here, because of poor breeding and reputation.
@HedgieDiva The ones being bred for guard dogs arent apbt they are called american bullies. These dogs are mixed with mastiff types for their guarding prowless and human aggression. The only reason people are pointing their finger at pitbulls is because the general public doesnt know what a pitbull is or looks like. I was walking my apbt Abby yesterday and met some lady walking her great dane, she said wow your dogs small for 2. So I had to explain things too her hope she understood.
@surleyguru I just got here so I cant say I've been taking the time to read all the comments I'm awefully busy I just think people need to re-think the way they treat other living things. they have feelings also unless raised by heartless owners.
@surleyguru American Bullies are actually primarily from Amstaff/APBT lines and they aren't good guard dogs either. Maybe you're thinking of Whoppers? The original "Whopper" dog was a Mastiff mix that was allowed to register with the ADBA IF he didn't breed. But he was bred anyway. Also known as "weight pull line Pit bulls" :)
@thejacobhughes A well-bred APBT that is true to its original standard should never attack a human, even in protection of the home. I hope you keep your dog well contained. An APBT with a tendency toward aggression toward humans is a terrible thing. APBTs are not a guardian breed. Period.
@HedgieDiva Very true, the only difference is what you use the dog for, they shouldn't be abused but anyone who thinks their quiet loving pitbull hasn't got what it takes because you've never seen him show it, you'd get the shock of your life is you saw him in action if provoked enough, I saw the quietest dog i ever knew wipe the floor in seconds with an English Bull Terrier when it attacked him during play, we were shocked how well he hammered the EBT before we got to him.
Dog is a man's best friend. That's why so many of us men have at least one. We have a lot in common. We're low-maintenance. It doesn't take much to make us happy. And our needs are pretty basic. Personally, I think dogs are better friends than most humans. No matter how good you treat another human being, they lie to you, steal from you, hurt you, kill you...But no matter how good you treat a dog, they never forget.
@PigfootAbernathy I agree, at least they'll never hurt you intentionally, I've gotten some nice welts from wagging tails. :) That's the awesome thing about dogs, but at the same time it can work against their favor, many a**holes take advantage of their forgiving nature and abuse them.
awesome video, i wish people wont argue on stupid shit when it comes to an educational video like this. they both need there heads flushed down a toilet and then have someone do it again. great video!
Love the video I own 3 myself and have own over 10 in my life and have never had a issue! I am a vet tech and have been attacked by numerous labs, besenjis and other small dogs
I think the whole "any aggression towards humans" bit is taken a little differently. My oldest pit is AMAZING with kids, people, etc. He loves meeting new people. But with any dog, if a person confronts his master, he should protect him. My dog has gotten "aggressive" towards people twice in his 4 years, for legitimate reason in an effort to protect me. No biting, but he was not happy about their attitude towards his mommy!!! I think that's with any dog.
@cowgirlcrush That's not aggression. :) Aggression would be trying to attack people without provocation. Guarding behavior doesn't make a dog aggressive, it's a protective act. In everyday terms you could apply "aggressive act" there, but in dog behavior terms it's not true aggression. ;)
@magicalcrazyness yes i was just trying to help clarify for other people, since most say they make "terrible guard dogs"....they actually make great guard dogs, but there is not reason to train your dog to be protective. a dog will naturally protect his owner.
@cowgirlcrush Actually my Pit Bull would lick someone who is stabbing me, which is the more APBT temperament. Not speaking from just my experience. Now my GSD mix on the other hand...
@magicalcrazyness have you actually been in some kind of trouble and dog sat there? i mean, people thought my dogs would never hurt a fly and had no problem confronting me with them standing there. but quickly found out that my dogs are as devoted to me as i am to them. i have gotten into plenty of arguments and the dogs done nothing. but there have been several occasions where strangers were seriously threatening me and the dogs were there in a heart beat.
Really love this video. I myself have a red nosed pitbull and and a pitbull mix and they are the most loving dogs. good to see a watch videos that dont discriminate them!
@StefyStuff Actually you have to clean cropped ears more often. Several vets confirm this as well. My APBT has a rosebud ear and one half pricked one. They get far dirtier, and need to be cleaned often to avoid infection. While my GSD mix's ears are spotless. Just flip em over every now and then to let some air in. :)
These dogs need a good and responsible owner. Since as well as the person is also the dog... My dog is a am. steff. and her name is luna. She also loves all people and all animals, as well as me.With are a matter walking many people change the street, her children on take poor or say this dog is dangerous and she must carry a muzzle... the power me so incredibly sadly. Luna would never bite anybody. As I have already written them loves all people and only wants to play or cuddle even rather...
@Bullmaster72 Thank you, I had some much better examples I could have used but I was unable to contact the dog's owners for permission to use them. There are two blues in the video so I'm not sure which you're referring to, one is a good example if temperament and workability is being taken into account.
@HedgieDiva I've been on a few forums and have seen that a lot. Some don't like to admit that blue could possibly be a true APBT color. It's just rare, GR CH Bellon Club's Soga is one example. The blue dog,(not the blue brindle) is actually a very nice dog in person, good worker, bunch of drive, etc.
@Bullmaster72 Blue can occur in a pure, gamebred APBT. It's simply a dilution of black. There have been blue gamedogs. Not every blue dog is a bully. There was J.K. Deal's Blue and GR CH Bello Club's Soga
anyone who likes this video please go to (ewkilla1230) (REAL AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER) and let this person know that he is exploiting them and using them for fighting. his video is sad and should be removed...THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO
We have a female American Pit Bull Terrier and she is so loving and eager to please...loyalty beyond belief,it`s my breed for life...raise them and love them and they become children....
One of the best American Pit Bull Terrier videos I have ever seen. You were correct in all your facts and examples of the breed. I have not seen such beautiful specimens of the breed in a long time..they are rare nowadays.
Congratualations to you and you should be very proud.
i have a pitbull "mix" and although he does have animal aggression he has never shown any towards people, and you are so right aboat them not being a good guard dog, he would follow the robber right out there can and want to go for a ride. what i want to know is what is the purpose of cutting there ears?
@zuel71 Cosmetic purposes for the most part, some people just prefer it. If done properly by a certified vet and given the proper aftercare and pain medications it has almost no affect on the dog. But sadly a lot of people try to do it at home, or have unqualified veterinarians do it, that I find abusive.
@magicalcrazyness Isn't the dog more susceptible to getting sick after having their ears clipped? I've heard that because the ear doesn't fall over the ear protecting it from objects entering it, it can cause infections etc., but I didn't hear it from a certified vet so i'm not 100% sure its right
@undecided8713 Cropped ears will need regular cleaning yes, as a owner who properly researched it should know. (As in almost every situation researching and education is key to being successful.) Flopped ears do stay much cleaner, they have a higher likelihood of getting yeast infections though due to the air not getting in if there's water in the ear. (Think of wild canines, how many have flopped ears?) I'm not saying ones better than the other by any means. Just sharing info
@magicalcrazyness ahh thank you for clearing that up, i'm glad some people like you do the research and have it done properly before having this done to the animal.
@undecided8713 No problem, I enjoy answering questions. I myself wouldn't personally crop a dog's ears but to each their own. It basically comes down to personal preference.
American Staffordshire Terriers , American Pit Bull Terriers, American Bullys/Bullies, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, English Bull Terriers are all different breeds understand that. Razors Edge, Gottiline , GrayLines, XL, XXL, XXXL, BlueLines, Red Rum and Monster G line, Remyline, Marcuslines, Jaggerlines, Norselines, Kingpinlline and lot more are not APBTS, PITS, PIT BULLS that is fact. Real APBTS, PITS, PIT BULLS are not Blue body and Blue nose.

@Inspirikus how about you leave your stereotyping out of this. cutting the ears are only for cosmetics. dog fighters of the long ago past never cut the ears off these dogs. its simply for cosmetics and no other reason.
Lol i wish you are right, but unfortunatly you are not. I gave two reason why and no other comment if you think you are right and i am not let it be....I wish you are 100% right.....No reason to be so angry :) peace out.
@Boyyouabitch its true, cropping the ears are for only 2 purposes.. 1 dogfighting, less to bite... 2nd... a look... some people perfer the look of the dog with cropped ears... i perfer cropped ears on pit bulls, i just really like the look... they look like little devil horns lol. but my APBT ears are uncropped... lol their just big and floppy.
@Rllavig says who?you or the media?its a false perception.now im talking from a historic stand point which i do not condone, but professional dog fighters do not care if the dogs ears get bit. the ears provide protection from the elements. most game dogs are kept outside and cropping the ears would leave to infections of the ears so no it is only for looks. most real APBT owners do not crop the ears however BULLY breeders and Amstaffs do.look at the historic fighting APBT's and see for you self.
@Boyyouabitch ripping of a dogs ear can do real damage to the dog, as like humans, we keep balance by the cannels in our ears.. back in the day alot of people didnt know and didnt care... as time went people take fighting even more serious. everything they can to get the edge. if a dog tore off another dogs ear, its pretty much a win for the dog doing the ripping...
@Rllavig i can tell you understand nothing about the breed.PETA and the media has led you to believe this.if you have a real APBT you should know this by now.you leave me to think that you dont have a real APBT and maybe you have a amstaff/bully dog.you should know this if you owned it.research for your own good on this subject,so you can see the fallacy.its not common practice and is actually not within the standards of the real game bred dog.its only common practice to enhance a looks
@Rllavig the dogs in this video are nice looking dogs and i have seen the one at 4:00 in person at a dog show. i dont fight dogs but understand the history more than you. these dogs are nice but the one you see in the video are show dogs and not Real game dogs. youtube Game dogs and see if they have there ears cropped. its only for cosmetics and cropped ears does not mean its a fighting dog, but at the same time uncropped doesn't mean its a fighting dog.its a fallacy that the media has pushed
@Rllavig i meant at 4:05 the big black dog with clipped ears. a very beautiful dog but is a show dog. clipped ears is for cosmetics and not for fighting. its a common myth
@Boyyouabitch ive yet to EVER meet a dog owner that went to shows that knew more then a 20 minute session of searching google about the breed... all claims, no facts.. i understand now you have never honestly been to or been part of dogfighting unless it was online or on the news or in a book.. tell ya what mr.dog show... when i want shampoo tips on brightning my dogs coat, ill let ya know... till then... just go back to the kiddies table and let the grown ups talk. thanks kiddo.
@Rllavig oh fuck you you can keep your shampoo tips you fucking fag.Ive been arround Game Breed dogs all my life and have never seen a game dogs ears clipped.you dont know shit and dont need to own the breed.the dogs used in the sport today by top dog men dont have there ears clipped.if a dog worries about its ears being bitten or culls out because of it it didn't need to be in the box to begin with.A game dog will not let this bother him, your Humaniac emotions of the dogs ears are fallacy
@Boyyouabitch shhhhhh, i already told you to shut up, dont make me slap you with my dick again.. fake ass dog owner.. "top dog men" you sound like you catch cum in ya mouth to pay your rent. i'll leave you alone now so you can get back to shampooing your non-existing champion gamedog that you know nothing about apparently lol. you got no heart...

FCScorpio79 1 week ago
@FCScorpio79 That's not really true if one looks at the breeding, CDC has even stated there is no way to tell what breeds attack more. 1. not all are reported, 2. Misidentification (I could give you a link full of similar stories, also working at a animal shelter a lot of non Pit bull dogs are labeled as such.) At one point Golden Retrievers were hitting the tops of reported dog attacks, Labs the highest in some counties. That doesn't make them "bad" breeds.
magicalcrazyness 1 week ago
@FCScorpio79 Also take into consideration the sheer number of these dogs, over 1 million are estimated to be euthanized in shelters every year, compare that to the number of attacks.
magicalcrazyness 1 week ago
@FCScorpio79 Google "real pit bull perspective" and it's the first link. A decent place to start. :)

A child is 100 times more likely to be killed by its parents then by any breed, what does this tell you.
surleyguru 3 weeks ago
@surleyguru well they can't kill me , i have a gun and use it on pitbulls that are not muzzled and and restrained and approach me or my family, however fighting pitbulls are not 30 lbs, maybe as pups , and yes they can kill adults, they were bred to kill fucking BULLS, hence the name so don't ge all internet hardass and say youd spank a fighting dog and send him scurrying away because he would fuck u up and rape your corpse.
Bananayoghurt1000 3 weeks ago
@Bananayoghurt1000 30-65 Ibs I said retard and yes they can be as small as 30 Ibs learn the fact before you open that man pleaser of yours. Dont think your hard with that gun either, it just makes you look insecure and weak. Try being a little more alpha instead of an subordinate its the only way to live. Walkin this earth scared shitless of a small to medium sized dog known for their love for people. Stop listening to the media that shit rots your mind ya know.
surleyguru 3 weeks ago
@cassievipp72484 yea pit bulls are not mean, thats why they fight to the death, because they are full of love and sugar and sweetness, thats why they are the worlds number one human killing dog, because all the love they have overwhelms them and they butcher their owners and random children, pit bulls need to be exterminated and they will be
Bananayoghurt1000 3 weeks ago
@Bananayoghurt1000 Actually people need to be exterminated and they will be. The end of the world is coming and a breed of dog isnt to blame. They are terriers and terriers as a whole are naturally combative with other animals. But on the flip side have complete love and respect for people. They will do what ever their owner teaches them theres no bad dogs only evil people. A child is 100 times more likely to be killed by its own parents then by any dog. People are dangerous.
surleyguru 3 weeks ago
APBT is the number one killer dog, only niggers and wiggers who want to look tuff keep these dogs, i live near a park where ppl let these killer dogs run free, i have shot one dead and seriously injured another (i have a concealed carry license) because they approached my kids and i will put a bullet in any other than comes within 50 yards of my children while not restrained by a strong leash and muzzled
Bananayoghurt1000 1 month ago
@Bananayoghurt1000 Uhhh? I'm sorry to say you are wrong, actually i have had my pitbull for about 2 years now and he has not killed anything so get your facts straight before you say anything, and No I am not a "nigger or wigger" I'm a girl who loves these dogs so don't assume that just they have these dogs. And the reason why people leave them free is probably because they either don't have time to care for them or they just hear people like you who assume things, and don't know the truth.

APBT300 4 weeks ago
@APBT300 number of children killed or attacked by mma fighters = 0, number of children killed or attacked by pitbulls = thousands
Bananayoghurt1000 4 weeks ago
@Bananayoghurt1000 number of children killed by humans is higher than the number killed by pitbulls. if you shoot a pitbull without knowing for shure it's intention was hurting you or your children than you shot an innocent dog and that makes you the agressive killer and if a pitbull kills a child than thats probibly theyre owners fault
APBT300 3 weeks ago
@Bananayoghurt1000 On average 9 people are killed by dogs in general every year. Now compare that to the amount of people killed by their own kind every year. It helps to have your facts straightened out. You denying what people do on the regular is disgusting no one is dumb enough to believe bullshit like you just displayed except maybe you.

They are not natural guard dogs but a little bit of training a pitbull will do anything for you if he thinks you want him too but i dont recommend a pitbull if you want a guard dog. get a shepherd or rottwieller they do it without any training.
frozenmouse76 1 month ago
Pitbulls are breed to be confident and dominate... so its not so much as dog agression more so trying to lead the pack. I've owned 4 pits and only one ever guarded anything. The rest were just 60-70 lb lap dogs with a lot of energy.
Rediy777 1 month ago 2
@Rediy777 Dominant is not a personality trait, you might want to do some research into dominance from people who actually have done 30 year studies. Dr.Sophia Yin has a fantastic article about it on her site. De-Bunking the "Alpha Dog" Theory By Pat Miller is another good one. I'm not expecting you to actually do so since most people are quite closed minded when it comes to this. But if anyone is willing to learn the information is there.Anyone with an open mind has my respect. :)
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness thanks for the info. When speaking about dominance I also mean their will. After positioning yourself as pack leader you don't have any problems or at least thats my experience. All pittys have strong wills, just watch them as pups. I've never seen a pup submit to any of the others in a litter. They all wanted to be the alpha. I also believe knowledge is power so I will check out that article. I just hope its not someones opinion whose never owned a pitty before.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness And each dog has its own personality. No 2 are ever alike.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness I read through your article and some of it makes sense, but like I said I've watched pups exhibit dominance sooo... In a pack fight dogs never kill each other and the first on its side shows submission. There are some dogs that are untrained but for them to say that "alpha" dog isn't a correct term reeks of ignorance. You can get the correct actions from your dog by rewarding good behavior, but any pitbull breed had to be dominant for the jobs they where created for.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness Which is farm hand work; bull baiting, chasing off wolves, pulling sleds, etc. For those jobs they had to be fearless and non agressive towards humans.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@Rediy777 Not sure which this is a direct comment on but if it's referring to their breeding. The origin of the APBT is well documented. And contrary to popular belief where the dogs' ancestors use does not make there's. A breed becomes a breed when a standard is written and dogs are being produced consistent to that standard without adding outside influence. The first registry for the APBT required the dogs to be at least 3x winners in order to register.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@Rediy777 I'm open to a calm level headed debate though, it's good to not have one spout out profanity. I'd prefer to take it to personal messaging though due to the limited amount of characters allowed.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness I also don't understand why everyone trashes Cesar Milan. The man never broke a dogs leg or anything he has his way training (which works) and others have theirs. Half the dogs that Cesar rehabilates are thought to be beyond help and no other trainer would touch them so stop hating.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@Rediy777 Please actually do some research. Abuse doesn't have to be actually physically hurting the dog, it's primarily mental in the world of dog training. Anyone who has thoroughly researched dog behavior can tell why. I'm not trying to sound rude. I used to love Cesar, but I actually started to learn the truth behind dog behavior. I just wish people would be more open minded to things. By the way there are plenty of trainers who would take in those dogs, whom share my views.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness Dogs feed off the energy given. I've seen a friend with 4 kids get a jack russel mix. The kids were over exicited and well being kids. The dog wanted nothing to do with them, but instead found the calmest energy in the room. Which was me. A lot of people say they have the "truth" about anything. I'm not saying that I don't believe in positive reinforcement. Just saying that Cesar's way works. If people started treating dogs as such we wouldn't be having this convo now.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness Too many people act like hoarders and place animal life over human life. I used to be one of them. When I started treating my pet as such we had a better relationship as owner and pet.

NICE VID!Hey everyone stop with the BLUE thing, cos APBT can be blue,it's one of the color in the officiel standard for APBT.
Blue doesn't mean Bully !!!
In fact the genes and the breed APBT are from " Blue Paul's Terrier ": The Irish dog !!!
So at the beginning all APBT were blue.
It's one of the main color for APBT.
That's why there is so many Blue Fawn, and why sometimes some puppies got blue color and parents not.
Some of them, lost the blue color when they grow up,cos it's not well fixed !

Same goes for the APBT, a guarding APBT is not an ideal example.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness well ive been doing pitbull reasearch for 2 years ive read books and my family has had 7 pitbulls in the list coulpe years and every single one of them is extremely proctective of the home but at the same time a good loyal dog that would never SNAP unless it had to to save it's family from a intruder so this video is a lie it's not true pls dont believe it
thejacobhughes 1 month ago
@thejacobhughes Most easy to obtain books are crap to be blunt. The only American Pit Bull Terrier books that you'll find to be accurate are authored by dogmen. Colby's Book of The American Pit Bull Terrier is a good start. By the way, "snap" is not a proper behavioral term. Amstaffs are often confused with APBTs, you can't tell the difference for sure without papers and guarding tendencies are not unusual in their breed. Easily confused.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness I train dogs for personal protection I had started with German Shepherds, I tried making ADBA reg'd pitbulls work they completely lacked what I was looking for, One time I discovered American Bulldogs at a pitbull show they used these dogs to guard the pits to prevent them from theft. I worked with these dogs in protection because the pits were horrible guards, eventually moved on to the Presa Canario but thats a whole different story altogether.
JustToletUknow 1 month ago
@JustToletUknow I haven't really delved into personal protection work myself but they few I know who do found the same result. There's a video somewhere on Youtube of a news report showing how one should not rely on just their dog to protect their homes, as they have a local trainer go into homes with just the dog (with the homeowners permission) and video the dogs reaction... The Pit Bull greeted him happily, they even did a mock attack on the owner and he tried to initiate play
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness You're actually right about that. Staffies are more prone to guarding behavior as well. There are different types of pitty lines: Staffies, APBT, American Staffies, I could go on for days. Some lines have been bred with more protective breeds.
Rediy777 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness I'm just happy my pit loves all people! isn't food agressive...she does however have to be supervised around other animals because she plays to rough. But she more clown then dog lol I dont know who or were I'd be without her! I have 17 years dog walking experience I suggest experienced dog handlers for this breed. Too many people get pits to look bad and hard which is stupid because it only futher stereotypes the breed.
HedgieDiva 1 month ago
@HedgieDiva The fact that your pitbull loves all people is the norm for this breed.
surleyguru 1 month ago
@surleyguru Of course but the point i am trying to make is that some are being bred as guard dogs and for human agression...I dont think this is the breed for that, even though this breed would do anything for its owner which I totally see. I still hear of backyard breeders creating mentally unstable breeds which breaks my heart It would kill me if the banned these dogs here, because of poor breeding and reputation.
HedgieDiva 1 month ago
@HedgieDiva The ones being bred for guard dogs arent apbt they are called american bullies. These dogs are mixed with mastiff types for their guarding prowless and human aggression. The only reason people are pointing their finger at pitbulls is because the general public doesnt know what a pitbull is or looks like. I was walking my apbt Abby yesterday and met some lady walking her great dane, she said wow your dogs small for 2. So I had to explain things too her hope she understood.

@surleyguru American Bullies are actually primarily from Amstaff/APBT lines and they aren't good guard dogs either. Maybe you're thinking of Whoppers? @HedgieDiva Very true, the only difference is what you use the dog for, they shouldn't be abused but anyone who thinks their quiet loving pitbull hasn't got what it takes because you've never seen him show it, you'd get the shock of your life is you saw him in action if provoked enough, I saw the quietest dog i ever knew wipe the floor in seconds with an English Bull Terrier when it attacked him during play, we were shocked how well he hammered the EBT before we got to him.
photographerireland 1 month ago

@PigfootAbernathy I read your comment, realized how true it is, then had to punch a brick wall. Well said.

I think that's with any dog.
cowgirlcrush 3 months ago
@cowgirlcrush That's not aggression. :) Aggression would be trying to attack people without provocation. Guarding behavior doesn't make a dog aggressive, it's a protective act. In everyday terms you could apply "aggressive act" there, but in dog behavior terms it's not true aggression. ;)
magicalcrazyness 2 months ago 4
@magicalcrazyness yes i was just trying to help clarify for other people, since most say they make "terrible guard dogs"....they actually make great guard dogs, but there is not reason to train your dog to be protective. a dog will naturally protect his owner.
cowgirlcrush 2 months ago
@cowgirlcrush Actually my Pit Bull would lick someone who is stabbing me, which is the more APBT temperament. Not speaking from just my experience. Now my GSD mix on the other hand...
magicalcrazyness 2 months ago
@magicalcrazyness have you actually been in some kind of trouble and dog sat there? i mean, people thought my dogs would never hurt a fly and had no problem confronting me with them standing there. but quickly found out that my dogs are as devoted to me as i am to them. i have gotten into plenty of arguments and the dogs done nothing. but there have been several occasions where strangers were seriously threatening me and the dogs were there in a heart beat.
cowgirlcrush 2 months ago
Really love this video. I myself have a red nosed pitbull and and a pitbull mix and they are the most loving dogs. good to see a watch videos that dont discriminate them!
brandytizer 3 months ago
people like to crop pits ears because it makes them look a lil meaner......
pimpinmitchell1 3 months ago
@pimpinmitchell1 Yeah, but it also increases their hearing, and prevents ear infection by allowing proper circulation of moisture and air.
StefyStuff 3 months ago
@StefyStuff Actually you have to clean cropped ears more often. Several vets confirm this as well. My APBT has a rosebud ear and one half pricked one. They get far dirtier, and need to be cleaned often to avoid infection. While my GSD mix's ears are spotless. Just flip em over every now and then to let some air in. :)
magicalcrazyness 2 months ago
These dogs need a good and responsible owner. Since as well as the person is also the dog... My dog is a am. steff. and her name is luna. She also loves all people and all animals, as well as me.With are a matter walking many people change the street, her children on take poor or say this dog is dangerous and she must carry a muzzle... the power me so incredibly sadly. Luna would never bite anybody. As I have already written them loves all people and only wants to play or cuddle even rather...

I like this video, finally good examples (most of them, except the blue one) of TRUE American Pit Bull Terriers.
Bullmaster72 4 months ago 2
@Bullmaster72 Thank you, I had some much better examples I could have used but I was unable to contact the dog's owners for permission to use them. There are two blues in the video so I'm not sure which you're referring to, one is a good example if temperament and workability is being taken into account.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness Dont listen to them, This is why they mean by blue Pitbulls are rare, because most of them are American Bullies.
HedgieDiva 1 month ago
@HedgieDiva I've been on a few forums and have seen that a lot. Some don't like to admit that blue could possibly be a true APBT color. It's just rare, GR CH Bellon Club's Soga is one example. The blue dog,(not the blue brindle) is actually a very nice dog in person, good worker, bunch of drive, etc.
magicalcrazyness 1 month ago
@magicalcrazyness Exactly, they are rare but exist. Most blues however are fat american bullies.
HedgieDiva 1 month ago
@Bullmaster72 Blue can occur in a pure, gamebred APBT. It's simply a dilution of black. There have been blue gamedogs. Not every blue dog is a bully. There was J.K. Deal's Blue and GR CH Bello Club's Soga

i have a pitbull "mix" and although he does have animal aggression he has never shown any towards people, and you are so right aboat them not being a good guard dog, he would follow the robber right out there can and want to go for a ride. what i want to know is what is the purpose of cutting there ears?
zuel71 6 months ago
@zuel71 Cosmetic purposes for the most part, some people just prefer it. If done properly by a certified vet and given the proper aftercare and pain medications it has almost no affect on the dog. But sadly a lot of people try to do it at home, or have unqualified veterinarians do it, that I find abusive.
magicalcrazyness 6 months ago
@magicalcrazyness Isn't the dog more susceptible to getting sick after having their ears clipped? I've heard that because the ear doesn't fall over the ear protecting it from objects entering it, it can cause infections etc., but I didn't hear it from a certified vet so i'm not 100% sure its right
undecided8713 2 months ago
@undecided8713 Cropped ears will need regular cleaning yes, as a owner who properly researched it should know. (As in almost every situation researching and education is key to being successful.) Flopped ears do stay much cleaner, they have a higher likelihood of getting yeast infections though due to the air not getting in if there's water in the ear. (Think of wild canines, how many have flopped ears?) I'm not saying ones better than the other by any means. Just sharing info
magicalcrazyness 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@magicalcrazyness ahh thank you for clearing that up, i'm glad some people like you do the research and have it done properly before having this done to the animal.
undecided8713 2 months ago
@undecided8713 No problem, I enjoy answering questions. I myself wouldn't personally crop a dog's ears but to each their own. It basically comes down to personal preference.
magicalcrazyness 2 months ago
@magicalcrazynes My pittie has pricked ears and wont be cropped, not one ear infection

@zuel71
There is two reason for cuting the ears
1. For dog fights
2. Cosmetic purposes
Inspirikus 3 months ago

Rllavig 2 months ago
@Rllavig says who?you or the media?its a false perception.now im talking from a historic stand point which i do not condone, but professional dog fighters do not care if the dogs ears get bit. the ears provide protection from the elements. most game dogs are kept outside and cropping the ears would leave to infections of the ears so no it is only for looks. most real APBT owners do not crop the ears however BULLY breeders and Amstaffs do.look at the historic fighting APBT's and see for you self.
Boyyouabitch 2 months ago
@Boyyouabitch ripping of a dogs ear can do real damage to the dog, as like humans, we keep balance by the cannels in our ears.. back in the day alot of people didnt know and didnt care... as time went people take fighting even more serious. everything they can to get the edge. if a dog tore off another dogs ear, its pretty much a win for the dog doing the ripping...
Rllavig 2 months ago
@Rllavig i can tell you understand nothing about the breed.PETA and the media has led you to believe this.if you have a real APBT you should know this by now.you leave me to think that you dont have a real APBT and maybe you have a amstaff/bully dog.you should know this if you owned it.research for your own good on this subject,so you can see the fallacy.its not common practice and is actually not within the standards of the real game bred dog.its only common practice to enhance a looks
Boyyouabitch 2 months ago
@Rllavig the dogs in this video are nice looking dogs and i have seen the one at 4:00 in person at a dog show. i dont fight dogs but understand the history more than you. these dogs are nice but the one you see in the video are show dogs and not Real game dogs. youtube Game dogs and see if they have there ears cropped. its only for cosmetics and cropped ears does not mean its a fighting dog, but at the same time uncropped doesn't mean its a fighting dog.its a fallacy that the media has pushed
Boyyouabitch 2 months ago in playlist American Pit Bull Terriers
@Rllavig i meant at 4:05 the big black dog with clipped ears. a very beautiful dog but is a show dog. clipped ears is for cosmetics and not for fighting. its a common myth
Boyyouabitch 2 months ago
@Boyyouabitch ive yet to EVER meet a dog owner that went to shows that knew more then a 20 minute session of searching google about the breed... all claims, no facts.. i understand now you have never honestly been to or been part of dogfighting unless it was online or on the news or in a book.. tell ya what mr.dog show... when i want shampoo tips on brightning my dogs coat, ill let ya know... till then... just go back to the kiddies table and let the grown ups talk. thanks kiddo.
Rllavig 2 months ago
