Given the number of New Order / Joy Division songs "co-opted" by the Cure (sometimes probably unintentionally) I think they can be forgiven for getting one back, i.e. In Between Days = Dreams Never End, The Walk = Blue Monday, New Day = New Dawn Fades. Obviously the two bands influenced each other a lot, and since they don't seem to care about the other borrowing the occasional bass line or drum pattern I don't see why I should.

I remember an interview with Peter Hook in which he admited they take the bass from Just Like Heaven, but he also said that his mother cried after having listening a The Cure's songs because it was a shame how this band sounded like her son's band, which is so true.
