I think Kip has kind of "been there, done that" w/ the whole marketing thing and it backfired a bit. At this point, it's all about the music and he just lets that do the talking. Seems to be working pretty well for him. His old fans are extremely loyal and he's gaining younger fans. Seems like a lot of comments on his vids are by people in their 20's and even younger who just appreciate high quality music. And his classical stuff is now drawing attention to his other music...

Winger is a great artist hands down. He just needs to hire a marketing manager to promote himself better. You can have talent, but in the music industry you need attention. Maybe he's done with that though, and just wants to play music because that's his life, and that's what he enjoys doing...

I met kip about 3 years ago, actually it was by chance, at 12th and Porter in Nashville, TN. I was there that night by the invitation of Paul Taylor. Both he and Kip live here in Nashville. Kip is probably the nicest "celebrity" I have ever met. We talked briefly about my love of his last solo CD, "Songs From the Ocean Floor". I would not trade that chance encounter for anything. I am so incredibly glad that he has released another solo work!!

I completely agree. Kip is EXTREMEly underated and un-noticed. Soooooooo much talent it isn't funny. His vocals give me chills sometimes. Timeless and tireless, with more soul than 95% of what is out there now, in my humble opinion. Kip has been through a lot too. As cool as he is, Reb is even cooler in so many ways. I got to play with Reb in Pitt PA twice, and his playing was upstaged only by his personality. Genuine guy, very modest and appreciative of his fans. Kip is sometimes pretty rough.
