the reason why you get a zit or acne is because you use stuff like cover up from mac or powder sure it makes you look great but thats how you get acne the only way to get rid of it is clean your face or use proactive thats the only way

@skkiittlleezz actually thats false. Teens get acne because of the hormonal changes that come with puberty. If your parents had acne as teens, it's more likely that you will, too. The good news is that, for most people, acne goes away almost completely by the time they are out of their teens.The hair follicles, or pores, in your skin contain sebaceous glands (also called oil glands). These glands make sebum, which is an oil that lubricates your hair and skin.

As a teen's body begins to mature and develop, though, hormones stimulate the sebaceous glands to make more sebum, and the glands may become overactive. Pores become clogged if there is too much sebum and too many dead skin cells. Bacteria (especially one called Propionibacterium acnes) can then get trapped inside the pores and multiply, causing swelling and redness — the start of acne.

@skkiittlleezz which means that yes, if you put on makeup and then dont wash it off, it can help produce more acne because they are now clogged with dirt and natural body oils, but if you wash your face off at the end of the day, it shouldnt break you out. and just so you know, i hid the cut on my face until it was completely healed by using this method and it did not make it any worse.

If you do something to combat any anxiety and help yourself feel calm ..the compulsion to pick at spots wont be as strong....walk 30 minutes a day...excercise some and youll feel better...and i know what ya mean when ya feel guilty after picking....atleast you recognize what is happening...ya know ? knowing is half the battle !

I would recommend using a liquid bandage beneath your makeup on the sore so that your makeup doesn't cause an infection in the wound.
