  • My dad was an ATC in the 81st TAC. We stayed right down the road from the schools.

  • Wow. I was a little kid at Woodbridge from 89 to 93. I loved that base. I was age 6-9. If anyone was there in the same time frame leave some comments. I remember Woodbridge elementary and all the kids playin on the "big toy" after school everyday.

  • OMG this is awesome! Thank you so much for the memories! We were @ BW/WB '88-'92, left right before the closures...sad bases are gone. We knew the guy shown up in the air traffic control tower!! (Can't remember his name).

  • What a walk down memory lane!I was an airman living at Woodbridge & working at Benrwaters from 86-88. Although Woodbridge facilities were not so nice, it's sad they closed these bases.

  • Thanks for the memories. I was in the 92nd Skulls 87-89 The Switch was a good town and it's a bit sad that we had to pull out. But I was proud to be part of it

  • It was a shame, all the work done extending the runway for the F-15-E's, all the new base housing, only to find they were going to Lakenheath.

  • I know that guy ordering a double whopper with cheese and a small diet coke! He was a loader at the 78th TFS! Thanks for the post! Can't say I really miss that place though, other than visiting historical sites or the ghost stories!

  • I graduated from Woodbridge HS in 85. What a waste of Money. The bases are so run down now, the Brits couldn't keep it up. I understand we had to pull out, but what a waste.

  • LOVE this!!!!!!!

    Lots of memories there.
