As a soldier, I must say I agree with your post. There are many ways to serve society. Service in an honest, sincere and heart felt way should always be championed. What shouldn't be is disrespect towards those in the military. I didn't do this for the money. In fact, I have 2 college degrees and enlisted in the Guard anyway...whenever I'm on active duty status, I in fact take a 75% pay cut.

As a soldier, I must say I agree with your post. There are many ways to serve society. Service in an honest, sincere and heart felt way should always be championed. What shouldn't be is disrespect towards those in the military. I didn't do this for the money. In fact, I have 2 college degrees and enlisted in the Guard anyway...whenever I'm on active duty status, I in fact take a 75% pay cut.

I just joined up (19 Delta) And I gotta say I'm happy with the experience. I am proud to be a US Soldier, as far as the branches fighting it out? It's gay! What if the Marines changed there motto from Semper Fi to Marine Strong. I swear every freakin Marine would be outranged! What happen to tradition in the Army? Bring back "Be All You Can Be!" By the way Army bootcamp is the weakest bootcamp in the world. For crying out loud Drill Sgt. don't yell in front of the recruits face anymore. You guys go to battle and your Sgt. says "Take Cover!" and the freakin soldier will ask "What For?" Anyways Semper Fi!
