@howieization The power of retcon. In Japan they always lived on Earth. Mobius was just an american invention. But with the coming of Sonic Adventure they made the fact that Sonic lives in earth game canon, to reconcile the american and japanese stories. Like the Eggman/Robotnik name and the plot holes in the Archie Sonic comics.
