@TheBrookeization almost none of this movie actually happen...the only facts they used in this movie were: Mary was Henry's mistress, Henry married Anne (but in reality he loved her SO much more than this movie let us know), Anne gives birth to Elizabeth and Anne is being beheaded. The rest of this movie didn't happen (or did happen but not like it's been showed in this movie) :)

compared to the book this movie really sucks. loved natalie and scarlett, didn´t like how much they changed about the whole story though. the movie has NOTHING to do with the book which was so brilliant and which also was the reason why I wanted to watch it in the first place. sometimes the dialogues even reminded me of some bad sope opera which made the whole movie rather boring and made it impossible for me to emphasize with the characters.

@hakuxlove people elude to the fact that she failed to provide him a male heir. She was accused and convicted of adultery and incest. The King was tiring of her and wanted a new wife and the only way out of his marriage with Anne was death (for Anne).

Scarletts family forced her to be with him but she ended up falling for him as well. So Natalie got mad and stole him from her. Then she couldn't bear him and heir and was going to sleep with her brother to get pregnant but then didnt but the king found out and thought she had so she was killed

When it was over I was speechless! It was a great movie! Sometimes, I felt as though I was actually there because what this movie does is it reaches out grabs and it will not release until the end credits roll up the screen.

Women who cheated could be executed and beatings were seen as righteous for disobedience. They were also seen as instruments of the devil, luring men from God and salvation.

Of course, the accuracy of these historic stereotypes and beliefs should be questioned but it presents a rough idea.

this movie is what started my obsession with Anne Boleyn, my friend who went with me to see the movie then bought me the book, and I loved it! Then as a dug deeper into the history and the truth of Anne Boleyn (falling more obsessed) I decided to watch the movie again, I was so upset, so I re-read the book, the book is about as far from truth as the movie is to the book, good fiction, but don't read or watch this movie for more than good entertainment!

No, Anne was killed by the best swordsman in the kingdom, because of Henry's compassion for her. Also Mary Stafford, had two children by the king, and she never asked for Henry to save her sister. the book is called the other boleyn girl, and anne was executed with a sword because she was royal. in fact, henry brought a swordsman from the english port of calais to do the job. catherine howard was married to henry when he was older and more cruel. he showed more kindness to anne by letting her die by the sword, not the axe.

The axe was not as clean cut as the sword. In some cases it took many hits to the head to decapitate it with the axe. The sword was quicker and it went swiftly. Henry just showed a little bit of kindness by using the sword for Anne.
